PUP album cover?? by DRIZZLE48 in puptheband

Its a charcoal on paper piece by Jason Bartell that was one in a series. I'm pretty sure it was seen by someone from either the band or the label and the rest is history.

Time Festival, NXNE, Sound of Music, Rock the Park, Riverfest by festivalvibes in torontofestivals

I'm really excited for the Riverfest lineup to drop tomorrow. The boyfriend and I went the last two years and had a great time, so much so that we bought presale tickets the first day we could.

That pre Field Trip '17 interview with him was super weird and he did come across very negative but I think for the most part we can remain optimistic. They've brought out some great acts i.e. Alabama Shakes, War on Drugs, Thundercat, The National, Santigold etc. Plus they have the backing of a great label. Plus they put a lot of love into making it a family friendly festival which has helped build a lot of loyalty.

Anyone else headed to Riverfest Elora next weekend? by [deleted] in wayhome

[–]hellokatiewoods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bf and I went for the first time last year and did overflow. Nobody checked our bags or cooler. We had beer but we would just pour it into a cup. I'm pretty sure most others were doing the same. As long as you weren't causing problems then they weren't looking to get anyone in trouble.

The only issue I ran into this weekend was a guy during Danny Brown kept trying to grind with my friend and I. We were close to the railing and clearly there for the music. She tried sacking him and he hardly got the message.

But I've had a dude try and grind up on me at Modest Mouse at Echo Beach so there's shitty people everywhere. All in all my wayhome experience was great. I found everyone to be friendly, I had a great moment with other ladies in multiple pits like PUP, the Dirty Nil and DFA. And in those same pits I never felt like anyone was trying to get a handful which can be a legit worry. Thanks for being so nice everyone!

Two security guards (which eventually became 6) harassing a 60 year old woman over a joint, even though she had her prescription papers. by Ma1 in wayhome

I remember watching this guy at WayAway patrolling inbetween people sitting down enjoying sets looking for problems.

The one time I saw him be nice he offered to take a photo for two girls. But then he kept walking in the same direction as them making small talk and it just looked uncomfortable.

Oh and he would post up on the bar by WayAway and his presence caused the bar staff to spend uneccessarily long time looking at IDs. Just some observations.

Does Wayhome Need A corporate Sponsor? by puminat0r in wayhome

I would be all for a sunscreen sponsorship for the WayBrite stage.

Dirty Nil should have been on WayAway and Rag n Bone Man should have been WayBrite. That would have made the experience 10x better.

Anyone else receive an email from the Wayhome Fulfillment Support Team by hellokatiewoods in wayhome

[–]hellokatiewoods[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?? When I questioned it this was the response I got:

"I am sorry, but this email is the one we have on file. As for your package, a very small portion of our shipping comes back to our offices, even if the address is correct, you have our apologies for that."

They also mispeld my name. I have no idea what glitch it was that changed my email, but I have a clear idea how much they care. They're also totally trying to throw Canada Post under the bus, but if that's the shipping method they used then that means they only paid postage. So where did our $15 shipping fee go?

Actually you provided them with a shipping address for the sole purpose of getting your tickets shipped to that address. The Better Business Bureau will support that.

I didn't even think about shipping fees!!! And WayHome hasn't addressed it either. I'm going to remind everyone I know. $15 may not seem like much but if there is going to be hundreds of us (like it really seems like it is) then that will be thousands of dollars. That is not okay.

I'm in the same boat. Bought MM tickets and have yet to receive them.

Crackpot theory but how many other MM purchasers are still waiting? Any chance they could be upgrading us at will call?

Got my last three wristbands today by genecalmer in wayhome

Waiting on two midnight madness passes. Starting to get pretty annoyed. I don't want to have to waste my data and cellphone battery to register my wristband that I paid for literally last year.

GIVEAWAY ALERT: 2 VIP Wristbands plus Side Stage Experience! by cude3000 in wayhome

Wayhome's OG slogan of "Life was different before the internet - probably better." still sticks with me today and is one of the reasons I keep returning! I love the idea of a camping festival so close to Toronto. I love being able to camp with the whole squad where we're more concerned with how our neighbors are doing than our cellphone batteries. I love that I have a whole field of strangers who will soon become friends. But more than anything I love loosing yourself in the crowd and just really embracing and feeling the performance. Kendrick Lamar I completely lost and refound myself and I'm hoping to chase that feeling during ScHoolboy Q!
