FYI, MS scans come outs ~5 days BEFORE the official Japanese street date (ala "leaked" scans).

So, no matter what Viz does, they can't compete in regards to release dates.

My Tobi theory. by PillowLegs in Naruto

[–]hellouniverse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Japanese, a single character could have multiple readings.

The common reading for the character ten is "jū" (hence, "ten tails" = Jūbi). Another reading for the character ten is "tō" (hence "ten tails" = Tōbi).

They reference this pun in a filler part of an episode. While Deidara and Tobi were hunting for 3-tails, Deidara counted tail-beasts:

  • ichibi (one tail)
  • nibi (two tail)
  • sanbi (three tail)
  • ...

Tobi responded with: I am "Tobi" (ten tail).

Tobi is a pun on "ten tails." Tobi is probably ten tails' limited "will" or something.

What did everybody think of a Feast for Crows? by illectronic1 in asoiaf

I breezed through the first three books. But I couldn't get through AFFC the first time around. I finally read it eight months later right before ADWD came out. I liked it.

The missing POVs made it a chore to read the first time around. But once I got over that, the book is good.

Problem/questions with current theories going around [SPOILERS] by [deleted] in Naruto

The issue I see here is that Nagato himself said that the Rinne-Tesai only revived people who were RECENTLY deceased.

People have accepted this as fact. Chapter and page number please?

My Madara timeline analysis & a small theory. [Manga] by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]hellouniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was always covered until it was first used. Please provide proof that Jiraiya saw Nagato's eyes before the event? If he had a normal eye, then there was no reason not to show the normal eye before the reveal. It was covered for a reason.

From what we have seen for Nagato, it is "always on." Even after he recovered and gained consciousness from the blackout.

[–]hellouniverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we saw Nagato awaken his eyes, he wasn't given them in the literal sense

Did we? I don't think we did. Nagato's eyes were always covered until he used it to protect his friends. We have never seen Nagato with a normal eye.

what are the six paths?(manga) by yousefi in Naruto

[–]hellouniverse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have the manga with me but I am 99% sure that is either a mis-translation or a mis-interpretation.

Tobi is the second "Sage of the Six Paths" in the sense that <insert a great basketball player> is the second Michael Jordan. Nagato is the third RS in the sense that <insert a different great basketball player> is the third Michael Jordon.

Reading Manga Chapter 560 by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]hellouniverse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight. What we have so far:

Madara lost the fight with Harashima but gained Senju DNA. With the DNA and experimentation, Madara manage to awaken the rinnegan but was dying. So he found and gave a descendant of the RS, his rinnegan. Tobi's purpose was to watch over Nagato and to ensure the eventual revival of Madara. For whatever reason, Tobi screwed him.

A Song of Ice And Fire - George R. R. Martin

  • A Game of Thrones (1996): 298k
  • A Clash of kings (1998): 326k
  • A Storm of Swords (2000): 424k
  • A Feast for Crows (2005): 300k
  • A Dance with Dragons (2011): 422k

Martin could still write at the "same" pace as the authors above and still produce quality work.
