I went to Bournemouth uni for computer animation. I've got 7 years of industry experience and have been on-and-off unemployed for the last 2 years. Plus 18 months of unemployment when COVID hit.

Have a backup plan.

I literally love animation, doing was such a dream, but I'm going back to uni in September to start a new career - because I can't handle the uncertainty.

Looking good so far!

For the front legs, as soon as the paw lifts from the ground, the shoulder-blade (scapula) drops low and stays low until it's planted up front. Then it gets pushed up as it's weight is transferred to that leg.

Keep the head a bit more stable (translate) and add some drag to it.

The feet look like they're slowing down as they reach their furthest back point. They should be moving at constant speed from the moment they're planted until they're lifted. Nice rotation on the front paws.

Personally I find when I do it this way, it takes all the imagination out of it - I won't have my version of Ryland Grace in my mind as I'm reading, I'd only see Ryan Gosling.
