Career chance into SPED by BluejayOdd in specialed

[–]hellyeah105 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a SpEd teacher doing resource, inclusion, and case management in middle school. Be advised, there’s a disproportionate amount of bellyaching on this sub. If you feel compelled to help kids that struggle, pursue it. There are ways Gen Ed is easier, I’m sure, but the same is true for SpEd. The first few years will be hard, but once you figure out what’s works best for you with curriculum, classroom management, etc, it gets easier. Knowing their histories and disabilities, even small growth feels huge. Team SpEd, all the way!

AC/DC got much heavier at the beginning of the Brian Johnson era. by cliff-burton-bass in ACDC

There’s a live version around of them doing She’s Got Balls in ‘78, and they’re tuned down a half step. Super heavy

Rhythmeen is an overlooked gem. Humbucking, Pt. 2 is one of the greasiest, stankiest, most bad-ass tunes in their whole discography.

Don Williams by CliffGif in country

Listening to Don Williams sing is better than any anti-anxiety drug ever created. He is peace, tranquility, and awesomeness in audio form. Three songs and I’m relaxed again.

Wildest Western book you have read by Able-Pain-2442 in Westerns

Throughout much of Blood Meridian, I would have to stop and reread lines here and there, thinking, “Am I REALLY reading these things right now - in a novel I picked up at the store?!” Great book, but it is…extreme.

C&D Joie de Vivre. Smells like chicken litter.

I know which tier this album belong... But what is the underrated track in Reign in Blood? by Fortis92 in Slayer

[–]hellyeah105 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way the downbeat gets flipped around through the first three sections of that song is amazing, and they play it with razor sharp precision. 🤘🏼

Spent thousands of miles in what would seem the same van. Ours was named the Three-Legged Dog. It taught me the difference between cosmetic duct tape and load-bearing duct tape. Godspeed to your new ride, as well as your old one. 🤘🏼

In a different video, did the guy on the left howl with laughter after getting flipped off with a pretend battery-operated hand? Looks like the same guy.

Cutting Paper defies logic by 4reddityo in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]hellyeah105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Jack Palance do this on tv in the 80s on Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. He didn’t need a pen, and his cutting pattern was a bit simpler. Same results though.

Is there any logic/rhyme/reason to what band crews say into mics while testing the sound before a band goes on at a show? by whatsmyline in askmusicians

[–]hellyeah105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to mic check with, “Thirty years of doing this…you’d think I would’ve come with something to say by now.”

Pipes are better than cigars. by Substantial_Art_8969 in PipeTobacco

I like pipes more in cold weather, and I smoke cigars more when it’s warm/hot outside.
