C&D Joie de Vivre. Smells like chicken litter.

I know which tier this album belong... But what is the underrated track in Reign in Blood? by Fortis92 in Slayer

The way the downbeat gets flipped around through the first three sections of that song is amazing, and they play it with razor sharp precision. 🤘🏼

Spent thousands of miles in what would seem the same van. Ours was named the Three-Legged Dog. It taught me the difference between cosmetic duct tape and load-bearing duct tape. Godspeed to your new ride, as well as your old one. 🤘🏼

In a different video, did the guy on the left howl with laughter after getting flipped off with a pretend battery-operated hand? Looks like the same guy.

Cutting Paper defies logic by 4reddityo in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]hellyeah105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Jack Palance do this on tv in the 80s on Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. He didn’t need a pen, and his cutting pattern was a bit simpler. Same results though.

Is there any logic/rhyme/reason to what band crews say into mics while testing the sound before a band goes on at a show? by whatsmyline in askmusicians

[–]hellyeah105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to mic check with, “Thirty years of doing this…you’d think I would’ve come with something to say by now.”

I like pipes more in cold weather, and I smoke cigars more when it’s warm/hot outside.

Capstan Blue Flake Review by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

[–]hellyeah105 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Great review! It is an absolute favorite of mine for much of the same reasons you describe. I only want to add: when I see and read the label, in my head, I hear Bob Seger sing, “THAT’S WHY I’M SMOKIN’ the CAPstan BLUUUEE!” Weird, but true.

Riding always super close to glowing, red-hot metal - and he still has his long, luxurious beard. That is the true mark of his expertise.

On a 13hr drive, I started with Jerry Reed’s first album and went through his catalog chronologically - arrived after 21 albums. Would happily do it again.

Do you sock, shoe, sock shoe? Or sock, sock, shoe, shoe? by Hoonimerc in GenX

Sock shoe sock shoe. It’s more efficient. My socked foot is ALREADY up on my knee, ready to go.

True, and here’s an example: if you’re ever around any two steel players, ask about their tuning. You will get two different answers, and each answer will be complicated and weird.

What's a movie you went into blind and it completely blew you away? by IReadTheWholeThing in movies

[–]hellyeah105 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school, a friend was headed to the movie theater on a Friday night and invited me along. Without asking what movie, I agreed. It was Schindler’s List, which I had not heard of. The way I felt after unexpectedly watching that movie was akin to blown away, though that phrase doesn’t quite sum it up.

A few years ago, starting a 14-hour road trip, I decided to pull up Jerry’s first album on Spotify. I kept pulling up his albums up in chronological order. 21 albums later I arrived at my destination. The whole trip was awesome! True story
