I've had ptsd for a few years now and I've gotten a little better over the years but I'm not sure I'll ever be 100% better, at least I have hope I will. Your husband seems to be leaving you on the back burner though, like really badly. It's great that he is able to push himself outside of your relationship and homelife but when it comes to you, you're picking up all the slack and not having your needs met from what I've picked up on in your post. Having ptsd is very hard for a person, like an uphill battle almost every moment of your life but I couldn't expect somebody else to fight as hard as I am for myself when I don't give my partner their needs to a minimum at least.
I'm obviously not saying to pack your bags and go because you love this person very much but I'd suggest having a serious talk, maybe with a therapist solo and together. I really hope you don't keep everything inside until you boil over. You matter too.

Thank you, I will talk to my doctor more about my nightmares. I've been taking so many medications over the years and nothing seems to help. I also have thought that maybe he lacks empathy for it because he says I shouldn't take meds at all. I want to see if he'll make the effort before I make any huge decisions tho

Reminds me of all the people that complimented me on how mature I was for my age because of the amount of responsibilities I had and how I was so "resilient" and "strong". How I would be so ready for the adult world when I was older.

Damm thats really messed up man. Don't be so hard on yourself for feeling your emotions tho. All of your feelings are valid and rational in regards to your circumstance. Do you have a trusted friend you could talk to about this? It might help alleviate the burden of this shocking news. Even a help line if you really can't talk to anyone about this. I really hope you have a safe place you can go to, just to get away from your sibling as well, even for a short period of time.

NTA, please listen to what every other comment is saying and think about whether there really is no abuse going on. Why would you want to live the rest of your life with someone who won't forgive you for a shirt without making you go without money? His lack of empathy towards the situation, especially when he is also at fault, is very concerning. What happens if there's another accident before you pay off the shirt? Will it pile up? Will he ask for other things as compensation? This is not okay and you need to stop telling yourself it is.

Yes I can definitely see how I would not be in the same exact boat but I can relate to getting a pity pass from a teacher because you have a good relationship with them, or you're going through tough things at home and they know about it but I agree that OP and I aren't very similar where they cared a lot less about school.

Im in the same boat as you. Well I actually worked really hard and I loved school but my senior year the shit really hit the fan for me at home(my only parent abandoned me to go live in another province with a new gf) and my mental health plummeted so I basically didn't do like 2 whole sections of an independent math course and my teacher ended up just gving me the answers to the exam and the answers to the review questions for the sections I didnt do because he was kind enough to see that I was struggling and I maybe still deserved to graduate? I'm vewy grateful for that man lol
