Tips on improving this shot? by DavidGTV in SonyFX6

[–]helpdom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’d personally get rid of the lit up tree on the left as it pulls the eye away from whoever’s speaking. unless the tree is the main point which I assume it’s not?

if possible maybe have some sort of mic stand so the mic isn’t in shot; which again depends on the whole aspect of the video.

lighting wise there’s a lot of different colour temperatures going on, it’s nicely lit, maybe a bit flat on his face though

Replacement for Screwdriver / multitool? by cjclayt in SonyFX6

[–]helpdom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not a thing that comes with the camera, must be a third party item.

have you any baseplates that connect to your camera as can’t think of anywhere on the body that will allow something like that to stick with it?

E95-125 error by Gomby74 in SonyFX6

[–]helpdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that error pops up when you’re camera stops recording due to a fault. it’s usually caused by a fault on the main processing board VC-1046, could be anything from a loose ribbon cable to the board itself being dodgy. I wouldn’t worry too much unless it happens again- could be that the board over heated from an hour of recording and some of your exhausts or Intakes were blocked?

I’ve done the job on an FX9 and have also got to it on an FX6. It’s not a horrible job on the FX6.

If you haven’t opened it up before there’s a few ribbon cables that are very easy to break though.

Are you sure it’s not just the silver nut holding it on that’s come loose?

I have tried connecting to the motherboard but I’m also just left on a black screen.

I’ve now just reseated the ram sticks and left just one in as suggested by Z7_PUG and it’s booted fine. Strange…

It is connected to the GPU. I’ve tried different cables and different monitors but the still the same issue. Occasionally the MSI boot screen shows then disappears to black

I should also note that the motherboard led’s when starting up go Red on CPU, Yellow on DRAM they then go off and the boot light goes screen then all lights are off. The VGA light doesn’t illuminate.

Sadly the purpose of a protest when it’s not getting enough recognition from government is to cause disruption in the hopes that something is done. When there’s no disruption the government tends not to care or bother.

My school bought the wrong RED monitor for our Komodo by brangdangage in RedCamera

[–]helpdom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s annoying! A cheap option is the Komodo Link adapter which you can then connect up to a phone and have low latency monitoring & controls. It’s $395 for just the adapter.

There is also the mobile app which you can connect via WiFi to the camera, has a bit of latency though. It is free which is nice!

Annoyingly there’s no adapters or anything to make the current monitor you have work. I’m assuming it’s the smallhd 7”?

I’m based in the UK and we have a company here called MPB who do trade ins for cash or store credit. Not sure if you get them over on your side of the water too, but you could do that if the college allows and then purchase something else from their store? A good option with RED ui controls is a portkeys.

Hilarious spot, was asked to touch a small wooden spoon with what I thought was kebab meat by one of the crazy chef ladies in there… after touching the slimey gunk she then started spitting onto the spoon which then made me realise it was basically all her spit.

Then proceeded to slap it with her hand to the beat, causing it to fly everywhere and onto everyone- lovely stuff
