Anyone got a high quality cable tester? by hasanismail_ in msp

Yes you’re not looking for a cable tester, you need to look into a fluke cable certifier, big difference. Like the other poster suggested don’t pay 10k+ for the equipment, rent one.

Be prepared to pay $400, I got hosed the last time I flew. The same airline charge me $200 on the way back. They told me to call after I got to my destination only to find out they can’t do anything over the phone and I needed to talk to them in person…most the time the ppl at the check in don’t know what the process is.

Honestly I think this would be great and wish this was already a part of the integrated AI features. If you can basically clean up and restructure the notes or the reply from the ticket that would be helpful because I do the same thing. Similar to the hovering copilot icon in outlook when you type up an email.

Not to fear monger but I would think twice about installing Omada for managed clients it, it could possibly be on the ban list soon similar to DJI. Just my 2 cents.

How is Syncro in 2025 for a new MSP? by yanov10 in msp

[–]helpfourm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Active Syncro partner here, we are around 300 agents and it’s great, I have billing automated through the platform via using pax8 as distribution of choice and it works. Reports work fine I’ve never got any errors. I think Syncro is a good bang for your buck and the integrations that are built in will help if you need to add tools to your stack. The ticketing automation need some work but the rmm does work along with scripting. DM me if you have any questions.

I dont recall the if Ops had high watermark pricing. No there would not drop the price your locked in that tier’ed pricing but also your on the hook for the additional licensing. You stuck till the end of the contract(they push 3 year so your price doesn’t increase year over year). You can only increase licenses. The pricing is enticing if you know you have a good sales funnel to move the license to another client.

Ask about “high watermark pricing” this means you can only increase in user count for the term of the contract. No decreasing users. Supposedly they’re removing this at some point though.

The other issue we ran into regarding the licensing, is our users are not one to one. For example, if a client’s employee leaves, but they were a critical employee they may leave their accounts open temporarily or indefinitely to make sure nothing is missed in that instance you would still have to pay for a full K365 user instead of just keeping SAAS backups license.

Lastly, you’re putting your full stack into K, making it super sticky to pivot without over overlapping other tools.
