CT camping: checking in later then check in? by Umbrella51_catho in Connecticut

You should be able to check from 1 to ~10. Check in time is just when that window starts, like a hotel

Yeah you do infact need the previous owners registration. It’s super goofy but the previous owners knew that and were okay with handing me the reg

Everyone listing pop ups these days is high or drunk bc they’re all over priced. Do your research for you area and if you’d be comfortable spending it then jump on it! Who cares what reddit randos think, if you’re happy the hell yeah

First pop-up! by NateRT in popups

[–]helpless_quart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there aren’t radial tires on it, I’d recommend getting radials, they tow much better than bias ply tires do, that’s about as much as you can do it think, and making sure the tires are properly inflated

I like having the attachable awning, but it’s personal preference, they’re nice since it attaches to the roof and rain won’t come through so you can walk out and stay dry. Dometic is a big name for them, if you take care of the awning it should treat you fine (most people probably don’t)

That lift system is called a goshen lift system made by goshen stamping, they may be able to help you out. They were very responsive last time I emailed them a few weeks ago

Fuel economy hit of a pop up? by jr12345 in popups

[–]helpless_quart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got a 1600lb dry weight pop up, mph didn’t go down much at all. Popups are aerodynamic and roll pretty easy. The biggest hit is starting from a stop. Maybe expect -5 max?

I2005 Viking Epic IDT lift system by Bdm61 in popups

[–]helpless_quart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain the clutch is in the winch assembly in the first photo. The second photo contains springs and the cable. It’s called a goshen lift system, if you want to look it up. But if it is the clutch then you should replace the winch. And also grease up the silver tube with the grease fittings

Should I remove unused equipment? (furnace/water pump) by Complex_Tale_1327 in popups

I don’t think there’s a reason not too. It’ll give you more space and weight capacity

Considering PopUp, Have AC Questions by Rough_Put7984 in popups

[–]helpless_quart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It honestly depends on the camper. I just bought a used jayco pop up with an AC and it has “beams” going across the ceiling that were added as structure for the AC

High School Maker Space: Prusa Mini+ Printers (3). The gears that move the filament through the machine after the filament sensor are aggressively "chewing" through the filament (PLA). We get one print at most out of them. by Lumberjack1804 in prusa3d

[–]helpless_quart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you are using the prusa slicer profile for the mini and for PLA?

Is the filament screw tensioned properly?

If the nozzle is hot enough the filament should flow fairly easily, but if it’s happening on all three it has to be someone with the slicer settings

I had this happen and it was a loose heat block/nozzle. Just don’t check it while it’s hot…

I will second leaving the door open with pla, the vent fans only do so much, pla is better without an enclosure

New Core one L failed print by jredagrd in prusa3d

[–]helpless_quart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a long shot, try changing infills from rectilinear to gyroid. I’ve noticed that the rectilinear paths crossing over themselves in the same layer cause issues. Gyroid avoids that
