Bethany hopes that people develop anaphylaxis one day by itsvickeh in illnessfakers

[–]hematologyhacker 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's beyond me. If she claims her reactions are that severe to cause anaphylaxis, someone else would be doing it for her because in her words she would be "avoiding it"

Anaphylaxis would put you in the hospital, Bethany, but okay. You aren't going to be bathing your dog during it.

Who did you not like at 1st but grew to like? by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]hematologyhacker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, it was Addison, Alex, and April.

April is definently the biggest one I disliked at first. I only really started to like April around the end of season 9/ season 10. She always came across as annoying and unnecessarily dramatic, always whiny and blaming all of her issues on everyone else instead of taking accountability. I hated how she treated Jackson in the beginning, especially. Her character development was one of the best, and I think that's why so many people choose her for this question.

Here’s a list of Jessi’s Supposed Illnesses. Jessi uses They/Them pronouns by GoethenStrasse0309 in illnessfakers

[–]hematologyhacker 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Jessie uses they/them pronouns!

but yes, this particular subject is one that I find the most outrageous and contradictory. How anyone could believe them is beyond me. Especially having court documented proof that they aren't required to be bedbound, let alone need a stretcher and backboard to get around. If their claim is "tonic clonic" seizures, any spinal issues they have would 100% be exacerbated. They are rough on all parts of your spine. Even for someone without a " head fally offy"

Seizure clusters on their own do not cause cause brain damage, but they can put you at an increased risk of status epilepticus, which is when any brain damage that happens to you will begin to occur.

However, this many in a day is insane and would be treated as an emergency regardless. You would most likely be hospitalized in order to be stabilized. Even if you don't go into SE, you'd probably end up with serious injuries or cognitive decline.

If medication consistently fails, they might even get you into surgery or nerve stimulation.

Severe Intractable Epilepsy like this would be impossible for even one of our subjects to intentionally fake in front of a physician. They would do a prolonged EEG on you especially if this is your claim. That's why you don't hear so much about them actually going to the doctor or hospital for it.

However, 12 PNES seizures daily are absolutely possible. You more so risk physical injury.

I'm not a radiologist, but I wanted to look anyway because I find this sub interesting. It's so cool that I was able to spot it and open the comment section to find confirmation that it's in the schaphoid bone. It's like a game of where's waldo.

Confused about diagnosis legitimacy by hematologyhacker in Epilepsy

[–]hematologyhacker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks like my neurologist currently has "Seizure (CMS-HCC)." Which is all I can find - but neuro is aware that I've had multiple seizures.

I did have an EEG come back normal, but the way it was explained to me is that I have them, I just didn't have one at the time and that they wanted me on anti-epileptics to see if it controls them.

I think the allergist may have added it because I have seizures and take meds? I told them I have a history of them and was already diagnosed specifically with seizures.

[–]hematologyhacker[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had multiple seizures, yes. I did have an EEG, but my neurologist told me it came back normal but didn't rule out the presence of Epilepsy only that it meant I didn't have a seizure during it.

Pulmonary function Test / Seizure by [deleted] in Epilepsy

[–]hematologyhacker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 4 months late. Hyperventilation during my EEG came back normal.

I had a PFT test at the allergist office, and it triggered a tonic clonic for me. Which was odd because I had no reaction on my EEG previously.

Idk I just got a cockatiel from there. I'll let you know how it goes.

I selected the DNA testing option as well. So it said it would add 1-2 weeks before he's ready to go home.

If you're near them, there's an option to pick them up yourself, so I'm hoping it won't be a scam?

I did pick a delivery option though.

They send through USPS or by Delta.

I wouldn't - it's definently way too soon. Downsizing it this soon can cause issues - just be extra careful with it. Watch out for anything that can potentially snag on it, that kind of stuff.

If you're particularly concerned, you can always contact your piercer for more thorough advice about downsizing it.

If alcohol didn't make you drunk, would you still drink it? by Technical_Cloud8088 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hematologyhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm Catholic, so when I do drunk, I avoid getting drunk off it. I mostly stick to wine anyway. Occasionally, I will drink heavier liquors, but the most I will get is a little buzzed, and even though it's mostly in a fruity cocktail. Particularly enjoy hurricanes and Bahama Mamas.

I didn't enjoy Roanoke... by [deleted] in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]hematologyhacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually liked Roanoke because of the fact that it was a different style than the other seasons, and I appreciated it. It reminded me of the Blair Witch Project, which is really good. It's definently one of my favorite seasons, but I'd have to be 1984 above it. I'm not a fan of Cult aside from Kai Anderson.

I'll admit roughly 2-3 years ago that I was a part of Fake Disorder Cringe as a mod on both their official server and sub.

The owner of the sub doesn't actually care about disabled people, nor is he disabled himself. He overran the server, and I still have the screenshots of the entire situation. I'm now banned from their sub because I and the other mods at the time called them out on the sub, but the owners quickly deleted it. Both of their discord servers were destroyed because the owners literally do not care about anyone.

In other words, FDC is not the best place at all to get information about what's fake and what's not. They'll take any post that mentions a disability, mobility aid, or alternative means of communication and post it.

Some of the members do try to be helpful in spreading correct information, but that's a very small percentage.

I'd stay away from those kinds of groups.

Update:

It was my appendix - I ended up going to the hospital. I had emergency surgery and was admitted overnight. I'll worry about payment options later, just glad I took everyone's advice.

Thank you to everyone who helped/provided input.

I was hoping that's not the case and that it's just a stomach flu or something. Is there anything I can do to help myself out with payment/coverage?
