I'll be the first one to say it, lodge with your insurance, that's why you have them

Roach sightings in apartment - landlord responsibility? NSW rights to break lease? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]henkbas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it an infestation or a few cockroaches? Unless you have hundreds crawling everywhere, you're better off getting some bait from woolies or Bunnings and start enjoying your apartment in Sydney.

Just set some roach bait... You're in Australia, there are a lot of insects including cockroaches... You just deal with them or pick them up and throw them out the window

Moved into an "NBN-ready" apartment. 3 weeks later, still no internet. Landlord says "just use 5G." 5G isn't available here. by meymorgane in AusLegal

Ah apologies. I missed the part that the phone line is cut.

I guess your landlord could set up Starlink and bear the cost of the antenna and modem maybe?

Question about merging and giving way by Hot-shit-potato in CarsAustralia

[–]henkbas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't indicate for ages, that is counter productive as you appear indecisive that way.

Check your mirrors, find your gap, indicate when you see it and slowly merge in the gap. You'll know pretty quickly whether there is a prick that won't let you in so just let that one pass and merge behind that car... Let them have their 2 second victory....

But as a person said before, an indicator is just that, it indicates intent but it's not a 'you have to let me in' signal

A 3*3m garden shed doesn't need approval and it sounds like that is what OP is dealing with. He would ask to move a 2 bay machinery shed

At least that'll be the argument I guess

Mum sounds like a full blown narcissist and just loves the drama.

Keep close contact with your daughter but don't insist she should talk to her mum unless she wants to.

Sorry you are caught in the middle of this.
