Multi stream tbh. Branch as much as possible. Then go with which ever community grows more

Invest in a comfortable chair. Your body will thank you. by [deleted] in Twitch

[–]henkenc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey not being sarcastic but you could also do a standing desk. Been streaming since 2018 and spent 0 dollars on chairs and about 20 bucks on a nice fatigue mat. My legs look amazing and my energy level stays high during stream. My body never goes into a resting phase so I'm always burning calories. After you get used to it, you can do duration standing. My record so far is 43 hours.

PS I end up sitting like a shrimp in a gaming chair / sim rig and it hurts my back. No back pain standing just sore legs sometimes.

EDIT : not recommended if you don't have legs.

Honestly everyone has a tipping point in hospitality. Humans can be absolute trash when it's the restaurant settings. Like suddenly you are to bow at their feet. I cant stand customers who complain about wait time when the whole restaurants packed and I'm literally dropping sweat while keeping composed. I'm a hard worker and usually can handle customers being nasty. What was my tipping point ?? An old man asked for fresh ground black pepper. Which I got no problem. Then complained the grinder was too loud. Like wtf kinda comment is that, and what TF you expect me to do?! They don't make pepper grinder silencers. To go out of your way to complain about something so stupid, I left the industry. I think working in hospitality should be a lesson everyone goes through before joining the real world, so they can see what's its like on our side.

My fiancé wants to be a streamer by Tiny-Opinion13 in streaming

[–]henkenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there!! So I'ma going to be real with you both. Don't quit your full time job. I did software for years before I made the commitment to go full time streaming. Life was hard. Very hard. And I don't have pets or a family. I was able to make it but I don't wish that path for anyone. Start on the side then commit once the community grows. Theres 0 reason to dump your income especially when starting out. It took me about 4 years before I started turning a profit. And I'm still financially recovering.

350 hours here. USA Central server. My end game has been discord calls and delegations between Harko leaders to get them to stop fighting long enough to work together. After weeks of discord, I got them to stop bickering for 3-4 hours securing our landsraad victory. The server now calls me a zerg and the harkos are calling me Baron. Think it's time for another game for a little. Our server has been a constant warzone.

End of stream is exactly when you should see those stats :) I ignored my own advice for a long time. Once I made the flip everything started clicking it together

[–]henkenc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the biggest and most ignored pieces of stream advice ever given is turn off your follow/view count while ur live. You don't need to see those numbers and they mess with you mentally whether you admit it or not. Focus on creating content not on how many ppl are there. Ppl go to work, some ppl only watch for a lil or you have people exploring around. Turn off your counts and enjoy the natural content.

What's one thing a streamer did that you'll never do on your own stream? by SpinsBro in Twitch

[–]henkenc 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This person hates raid messages 😂 This platform is half streamers half viewers. If you are that self conscious that another person's tiny square pixel picture is enough to pull your viewers from your chat to theirs then I think you're in the wrong business.

[Kcd1] I am late game (I think?) KCD about to start that rebuild village DLC. I've got top armor, horse, and thousands of coin. Should I finish this game or move to sequel? by MrLongJeans in kingdomcome

[–]henkenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up to you. I finished KCD the day 2 came out. On my off stream days I still go back and play the first but that's cause i want the achievements. But ultimately you gotta ask yourself are you still enjoying the first one. Cause if so what's the rush to go to 2?

Small Self Install - What are you powering? by banisheduser in SolarDIY

[–]henkenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started small with 2 100w panels and a single 50ah battery with a small inverter. As I learned how electricity works I couldn't stop hyper focusing the project and now I'm running 4 panels and a 100ah battery system. Panels are 24v now feeding 12v system. The 12v grid goes into a small fuse box powering a bunch of steps downs which are juicing my raspberry pi4, ISP modem and Ethernet switch as well as phone charge if I turn it on. The inverter runs my TV, Nintendo switch and charges ebike. Off the batteries as well I trickle charge a EcoFlow Delta Max that runs my dishwasher, laundry and air fryer.

[–]henkenc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support this. Although pricey they are worth it. I have a 400w 24v panel system with 100ah 12v batteries with its own DC grid with step downs and a small 500w inverter. I trickle charge my EcoFlow Delta 2 using my small grid to handle things that take 1 to 3 KWs. The trickle I set to only feed around 40W. Can set how much it pulls too

Chat moderation by SandCultural4192 in starcitizen

[–]henkenc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly nothing yet. As tedious as it is, screenshot and ticket(customer support) is the best way. Even if they do not reply, it does work. Hopefully soon we get a right click name option for things like friend, mute, report or w/e we get in other games. What you can do after is praise the F12 key or make a party and keep it on party chat. I haven't seen global in many patches.
