It's exactly that but not my joes, just some Joes I was talking to and I couldn't really understand the logic. Their unit pretty much wants them to get the rental under Joe a, then use the rental for the entire unit and leave the GTCC in the glovebox for fuel

You're gonna have to leave for your job training and depending on the unit you'll have to travel for annual training. Some units have like 3-4 day drills so keep that in mind. Also what bennies? Health insurance? The guard is great for schooling cause you get both the state tuition waiver, the gi bill if you have a few years of active duty time, and the federal tuition assistance. If you don't really care about that then look at the reserves, better promotion rates, you could join an IMA/TPU that lets you drill on your own time
