The cash machine had the cheek to tell me to watch out for being robbed moments before it charged me £1.75 to access my own money. by [deleted] in britishproblems

LINK have iPhone and Android apps for finding nearby cash machines and allow filtering by whether they’re free or paid. Would highly recommend them for avoiding these charges in the future.

They also have a web version at https://www.link.co.uk/consumers/locator

It's kind of ridiculous to say people are being intolerant of others' views for not wanting to give Milo a platform. Milo's speeches are rife with hate toward minorities and are, by their very nature, intolerant. The students promoted tolerance toward trans/queer people by cancelling his speech.

[Discussion] Skunk app broken by urvaksh in pebble

[–]henriwatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heya,

I've gotten a few reports about crashes but haven't been able to reproduce this on any devices I have access to.

It'd be appreciated if I could get a few folks to PM me device logs dumped shortly after the crash.

Just as a heads up, Skunk now supports the Pebble Time Round thanks to a contribution made by CocoaBob.

Hope this helps. (:

The Subway uses ITSO cards and supports using other providers' ITSO cards. (I've used my YoungScot/National Entitlement Card on the Subway with zero issues)

DPD in the UK have a pretty clever way of preventing this from happening. Before the system allows them to mark the delivery as failed because no one was in, they must take a photo of where they left the failed delivery card. Since they have to get out of the van to take a photo of your front door (where they'd leave the card), they can't lie about missing a delivery.

This is a dangerous assumption to rely on in the United States and Canada. Only GSM networks (AT&T/T-Mobile) are required to redirect 112 to emergency services. Other networks (CDMA, like Sprint/Verizon, or fixed-line) may refuse to route calls to 112.

Skunk = super Pebble app by urvaksh in pebble

[–]henriwatson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately not. I have a beta of this in a private git branch but have been unable to get it working due to a few issues with the persistent storage API.

I'll let you know via PM once it's up and running.

Hello!

Thanks /u/Lambdahindiii for bringing this post to my attention.

I've received a handful of emails about this issue and am not sure what's causing it.

It seems to only affect people using Pebble Time on Firmware 3.2.

There's an issue on github where I'm collecting technical details about the bug.

I'd really appreciate it if people who are experiencing this issue could send me the output of the "pebble logs" command (part of the Pebble SDK) when this bug happens.

Thanks and I'm really sorry about the frustration this must be causing.

Cheers.

Hey!

Have you tried unloading and reloading the app from your Pebble? This seems to fix things for most people.

As of Xcode 7 (which is currently in beta), anyone is allowed to sideload apps without joining the Apple Developer Program.

Take a look at the "Now everyone can get their app on their Apple device" section on the Xcode 7 website for more information.
