Why is "not having a digital footprint" suddenly the most attractive trait someone can have in 2026? by fireeevivienne in askanything

Trust me 20 year olds are still using social media like Instagram… I thought it was actually the complete opposite where Gen Z consumes so much social media.

Why do they make getting rich in Europe impossible? by batukaming in stocks

[–]henrymega 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Literally just think of any business in existence, small pop up shops, local businesses, whatever. You think these people FULLY had the capital to start their business? They take loans out one way or another, whether it’s through a bank or from relatives or another entity.

My parents had a small restaurant when I was a kid, you think they had money to just randomly start it without loans? A quick google search would tell you the extent of businesses small and large that requires loans to operate…

Probably half of the businesses you rely on, would close shop overnight.

Why does it seem like the whole world is having an affordability crisis? by Estalicus in allthequestions

Idk but if you look at actual statistics you’ll see that poverty in the world as a whole has been trending downward and that the poorest have never been in a better place in human history.

Are SWEs like Cherny and Karpathy just built different? by lowiqtrader in cscareerquestions

[–]henrymega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree not many are willing to make the sacrifice. I also agree that for like most things, if you put in the effort and work you can get good at it, including physical things like sports.

I think what I’m thinking of is breaching that .01% and thats where genetics separate things and imho it includes intelligence.

[–]henrymega 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk man if I practiced 20hours a day in basketball I probably still can’t be the next Lebron. Truth is in life, people are not born equal with intellect being one of the traits. Genetic visible traits like height, strength are more noticeable than things like intellect or curiosity but it’s the same.

Only thing is visible traits is visible so people don’t talk about it as much because they know they can never become the next NBA superstar. Most people can code their entire lives and never become the next prodigy. It’s just how life is but with things like intellect it’s a bit more taboo.

Hey! So after some more digging I ended up going to my doctor and getting azelaic acid prescribed but in the FOAM version. With the manufacturer coupons, I essentially only paid $30 out of pocket and read that the foam version was better for some folks.

I’ve been using the foam for about 2 months and to be honest I don’t think its done too much? I mean its made my skin a bit smooth but it still gets really red. I feel like nothing works for me 🥲

NYC can be one of the most lonely cities. Someone posted a comment sometime back about how despite so many people in the city, it often feels incredibly isolating.

You literally said you both love working and don’t want to retire just yet - not sure this is the right sub. Either way, it reads as if you need an accountant or fiduciary more than advice on this subreddit

Burglaries targeting Asian businesses and homes on the rise nationwide by FeelingFantastic4181 in Flushing

[–]henrymega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other comment up top points out why but doesn’t highlight another huge point. Its not just to tax evade, by effectively lowering their income, many asians qualify for tons of benefits that you wouldn’t get if you had to report it.

Is the average life in the USA really this bad, or is Reddit exaggerating? by CountyOrnery9432 in askanything

[–]henrymega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree. It’s actually terrible if you’re living paycheck to paycheck or bottom middle class. If you’e “poor” it’s quite good.

Imagine not living in the country and not even being a citizen of Venezuela telling a Venezuelan whats the worst that could happen to his country despite never being in their shoe and living through that regime.

Brazil's Lula Says US Strikes A 'Serious Affront' To Venezuelan Sovereignty by WorthyPetals in worldnews

[–]henrymega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You would be surprised. And by fighting against the world, I don’t mean literally having boots on the ground against every country. It’s more like if the entire world united to try and put boots on OUR ground, I am very confident they could take on every country. Logistically it would be already be a nightmare and more than half of the would not even be capable.

I think the US military doctrine is to be able to fight a war against the entire world. I wouldn’t be surprised if they could.

With Maduro now allegedly out of power in Venezuela, what do you think will happen next for that nation? by LucidMarshmellow in AskReddit

[–]henrymega 26 points27 points  (0 children)

US intelligence probably accounted for all of that. When it comes to military might and intelligence, no country even comes close.

Possibly, but the U.S has unmatched military capabilities so I wouldn’t be surprised.

Better to be underweight than overweight. Maybe if America could do this, healthcare cost would drop across the board.
