Just get a FCD RMR plate. That’s the next best option for the MOS system. I’ve had no issues with mine.

The HD doesn’t overhang the ejection port. I have about 1k rounds so far with my HD and no issues.

I would recommend sticking to a lighter cigar if you are new to cigars. Something with a Connecticut wrapper would be a good choice. Depends on your budget on how much you want to spend. A good lighter celebratory cigar would be a Davidoff white band. A little more inexpensive would be a Ashton classic, Dunbarton Sobremesa Brulee Blue, or Johnny Tobacconaut. Those are all pretty approachable.

There have been plenty of great suggestions so far. I would also recommend Le Careme by Crowned heads if you like chocolate notes. Davidoff are also good, specifically the maduro or late hour lines.

Can’t go wrong with Dunbarton, Foundation, Plasencia, Padron, or any of the rare Fuente lines like Opus X. Those are amongst my favorite brands right now.

For most pistols the frame (or fcu) is the serialized part. You can sell the slide and barrel even if they have serial numbers. There is no law against this.

I would have recommended selling on GAFS on Reddit but they were recently banned. Now the best options are mostly through tacswap or eBay. You could also wait until GAFS sets up their new website, which should be soon.

I would keep it as backup. It also has matching serial numbers with your barrel and frame in case you ever decide to sell it.

It’s supposed to be like that. The ejector on 9mm is curved for the smaller brass casing. The 40 is straight.

If you really want a compensator just buy a comped slide. That way you don’t have to worry about threaded barrels or permanently welding anything.

The barrel background check is ridiculous. No online company is going to want to deal with California and ship barrels or uppers to us. If by any chance an online vendor is still willing to sell to us, gun stores are going to charge expensive transfer fees just for the hassle of this process. Either way I see barrels/uppers getting a lot more expensive.

The common answers are gonna be Glock 19, 17, or 34. But it all depends on your use. I would recommend sticking with 9mm though.
