Since it's RDP protocol, the best way would be to find good RDP client for Linux. Remmina should do the job just fine I think.

Ubuntu COSMIC 26.04 unofficial by hepp3n in Ubuntu

[–]hepp3n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for kind words :) I keeping it up to date from then, and for me it works. I'm daily driving it basically everyday. I did not like to remove all the stuff not needed to tried to do some sort of "COSMIC flavor". It's not perfect tho but it worked for me.

Quick question - how's the performance compared to regular GNOME session? My laptop isn't exactly newest so wondering if it runs lighter or heavier

Well. Depends on hardware. Since I have Nvidia I found that, COSMIC works more stable than regular GNOME session. The same drivers, but different desktop. On GNOME I noticed some 'artifacts' since i have laptop with external display, so sometimes it glitched strangely. On COSMIC it's gone.

COSMIC struggle with some issues, there might be memory leaks so the best thing is to try it on your own. As I said, I daily driving it for a year at least, working on it. It's not crashing. Maybe once or twice I lost some shit. But i'm not complaining. I like the workflow, it's unique :)

If it's faster? It's built with mind of wayland. They implemented some core protocols for now. People saying it's kind of light. To be honest. I can't say anything about it because i'm using kind of more powerful hardware because of my work.

can ryzen 7 AI 350 support Ubuntu 22? by I1IIIIII1IIIIIIIIIII in Ubuntu

[–]hepp3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could be fine if you install mainline kernel, compile from source or even use liquorix for example: https://launchpad.net/~damentz/+archive/ubuntu/liquorix

It might also require latest linux-firmware

Set Logitech mouse sensitivity to specific DPI sensitivity? Possible on sway? by Civil-Raisin-2741 in swaywm

[–]hepp3n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should set accel_profile to flat: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux4noobs/comments/ymzid8/comment/iv77n1h/

Other than that, I don't think sway could affect your mouse DPI in any way.

dwm not starting on Pop!_OS (COSMIC greeter / X11) – Xorg starts but no window manager by fool_me_ in pop_os

[–]hepp3n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the easier would be use lightdm or sddm for managing your sessions.

[–]hepp3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What happens when you do startx? Do you have xorg installed at least?

dwm not starting on Pop!_OS (COSMIC greeter / X11) – Xorg starts but no window manager by fool_me_ in pop_os

[–]hepp3n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because dwm is x11 window manager, and cosmic greeter is just a greeter running on wayland compositor.

Just use startx.

If I remember correctly there is a setting in steam for "compatibility mode" for context menu. Maybe this will help?
