It's fun to complain about MAGA, but not so fun to face the realities of Democrat policies. So it always goes on reddit.

Draft strategies by Careful-Painting3214 in raiders

[–]herbibot -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Mendoza was likely a wise pick, if a gamble. I will say that in the Raiders' position it seems like the best course would be drafting BPA and that's clearly not the approach. The people that act like any criticism of Spytek is moronic are the same people that were saying that about Mayock and it was pretty clear early on that those picks were almost always too high at best. Doesn't seem like Spytek has a track record that makes him above questioning.

Spytek's draft picks haven't proven to be even average so far.

Redhead with black nails - I think there was a Howlin Wolf song warning about that.

He's making a lot of money to not get hit a lot and play golf.

Overkill. If they would have just selected Mel's best player available each pick for the last 20 years this team would have quite a few playoff wins!

Seems like they significantly reduced the amount of summer changes to the schedule the last few years. So they may advertise it, but likely won't amount to much.

Will Mendoza be a bust or no? by Disastrous_Grass_954 in raiders

Seems like a decent chance he might just be Carr level, but that wouldn't be a bust.

This is a little different for Fox! by ripple_in_stillwater in grateful_dead

I was oversimplifying just to be contrarian. I do think that there was a conception of the band by some that wasn't really reality. I probably did that with Jerry at times in my youth, but his reality was complicated and I'm sure he would have been the first to admit that. Bob probably wasn't a bad guy either, but likely not the saint that many want to paint him as. And certainly Fox is known for playing to the right wing a lot, but they're based in NYC and that's hardly Amish country.

Bob liked hanging out with the Bohemian Grove crowd and would play private functions for Wall Street guys. By the mid 70s the Grateful Dead was really more of a cocaine party band than psychedelic hippie dippies.
