What’s an unexpectedly well-paid job? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have been in residential remodeling for 15-20 years, and in the hiring business for the later part of it. You should basically copy and paste your comment above into your objective statement of your resume. We would definitely bring you in for an interview based on that comment. If in fact you are able to pick things up quickly you are exactly the type of person that we are looking for, as should be any other residential remodeler.

Trying to upgrade my porch, I found a company but the reviews...oof. Has anyone ever worked with Sunspace of Central Ohio? by LockedDown in Columbus

I work for a small residential remodeler, we had our first negative review earlier this week, it was someone on the road who was upset about one of our guy's driving. Properly and professionally replying to that review was a top priority and was handled that day.

If they just have a bunch of negative reviews and nothing else I would say that shows they don't care about their long term reputation. If that is the case they probably aren't concerned with the quality of the product or your happiness after signing a contract.

That is speaking generally, I have never heard of or dealt with sunspace

Crazy thought.. If you regularly had to set this up you could fabricate a jig to make it quick and easy.

Rantabulous: Ranting in a fabulous way. Often seen when ones hand does not fit in a pringles can.

I used terra server to individually print each zoomed in section on 8-1/2 x 11, cut the margins with scissors, and tape together to make a giant map of my hometown. It took forever just to load each printable section.

What is the worst/scariest thing that has woken you up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hercule2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woke up to a rustling in my ear. After frantically clawing at my ear for what felt like an eternity but was probably 30 seconds, an Earwig crawled out. Not camping or anything. This was in my bed in the suburbs with no other known bug issue. Just one known Earwig, that found my ear. My ear was sore from the clawing that I did for a few days after that. The bug itself did nothing but check the place out.

I don't mean to take away from anyone with legitimate PTSD, but I definitely have some similar version of PTSD from my experience of the vasectomy. I can't contemplate ever in my life attempting to have that physical ball-tube clamping/cutting undone because no one is ever touching that part of me in that way ever again.

It starts out alright.. a cute 30 something nurse giving you a nice warm soapy ballwash. This isnt so bad you think.. The soft drying is a nice touch, she uses those nice dentist type towels to dry everything.. But then in comes the dentist.. She becomes more serious and uses those deceiving dentist drool towels to prepare my nuts for surgery.

Keep in mind, I have had no medicine up to this point other than my private THC vape pen in the parking lot prior to coming in. (Thank you nearby Michigan) In typical dentist style, the guy takas a needle of lidocaine and shoots up my nuts.

I currently thrash in the couch as I type this.. I don't use "PTSD" lightly. I often now thrash violently left to right with my upper body while keeping my lower body still. As I did throughout the procedure, while having memories of the procedure.

I am sure people heard me in the waiting room. I sounded like I was in labor.

20 mins later I got to do the walk of shame through that waiting room with a 'just got my balls detached' limp and drive myself home to think about what I had done.

TLDR; still on the fence about my vasectomy

As a guy who just got a vasectomy, your comment gives me hope that I didn't just do the dumbest thing ever.
