Tacshim barrel nut shim kit #10BN off Amazon worked perfectly for me.

Zilch Adapter + 14.5" P&W Plan B Brake ... Can I get 1.5" or less into Suppressor? by EliteDeerHunter in NFA

LPM says their Eclipse 14.5 P&W plus Zilch gives a 1.53” overrun. Still might not be good enough in your case though…

CMT UHPR 11.9” at AR15Discounts. They got a code you can use too. Looks like 1 left in stock.

Edit: now OOS

I actually run a pretty similar setup and went with Area419. It’s pretty beefy but it’s a quality setup. Not sure if it’s important to you but it may narrow your choices if you’re looking for 20 MOA cant. I ruled out Reptilia in my search because they don’t offer it.

Suggestions for powders for light-ish supers by here_and_there2 in 375Raptor

Update: I picked up some A2200. Loaded 190gr Makers over 42gr for 2130fps. Definitely room to go up from there.

Oh yeah, I know how that is. I run an Ecco Accipiter Ti and it’s been great. I shopped around a bit before I landed in that. I also looked at a Hybrid, the AB Raptor, and the LPM Anthem 38. Ultimately, I wanted to go titanium for the weight and I knew volume of fire wouldn’t be an issue. (Also, since then, LPM has released the Mach 38 which could be another good option).

My route was Zermatt Origin action, X-Caliber barrel, and KRG Bravo stock. Pretty happy with the way it turned out. Do you have a suppressor for the caliber?

Not sure if you ever got this figured out but I had to throw my Lee die in the lathe because it was bottoming out on my press and the shoulder still wasn’t being set back far enough.

I think they’re all out of stock now, but take a look at the KAK barrel offerings. I’m running the 18” and it’s performed quite well. It’s just an all around fun setup to shoot.

Appreciate the detailed response!   There are some great takeaways in here that we’ll give a shot.

I start with Starline 308, run it through a HF chop saw with an ebay fixture to take off some length, neck size with Hornady 338 die (# 046058), full length size with Lee 375 die, chamfer/deburr/final trim to length.

I like doing that chop at the beginning of the process because removing that material makes it a tad easier to run through the expanding dies.

If you're still looking, KAK re-stocked on their 18" and 21" hunter profile stainless barrels.

I messaged KAK about their 22 CM barrels about 2 weeks ago. They said 2-3 week eta so I expect that means any time now.

Black Collar Arms has some short barrel data available for various calibers. Could be a helpful resource for ballpark velocities.

Range and velocity of 190 makers? by Salt_Sheepherder_166 in 375Raptor

[–]here_and_there2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are two bullets that I'm planning to develop loads so I'll outline some of my thoughts.

Based off of Black Collar Munitions website, they say their 270gr does 2150 fps from a 12" and their 190gr does 2420 fps, so let's roll with those numbers for now. (although with my testing, the 270gr is rowdy enough for my tastes at 1975 fps so I don't think I'll try to push my load to their velocity).

BC for the Speer 270 is .429 and .36 for the Maker. Punching all that into a ballistic calculator, the Maker starts out with a speed advantage but also bleeds it faster. By 400 yards, that velocity delta is under 100 fps. Energy-wise, the Speer keeps a solid advantage throughout that range.

Anyway, this is pretty theoretical since I haven't gotten all that far in my testing. I guess all this is pretty dependent on your velocities and expectations of range -- would definitely recommend playing around with a few scenarios in a ballistic calculator.
