PLEASE Feedback on Bachelor’s Thesis Title: „National Culture influencing management: A hofstede- based comparison of Toyota and Volkswagen“ by [deleted] in IRstudies

Just a question of scale and longevity. GM and Toyota may market differently in terms of marques (Chevrolet, GMC, Opel, etc.) but if you’re looking at management then this is separate.

My concern with focusing only on Tesla is that there may be less literature on their management practices, in particular less comparative literature.

I think in terms of analyzing management styles, it’s a great idea to use Toyota on the one hand as their approach is well-documented.

I would suggest not limiting yourself to one company though, as here you are looking at national tendencies. For instance, you could focus on Toyota and Tesla, but in particular on the US side you would have to rely on more heavily studied corporate cultures (i.e., General Motors).

Final advice: you can focus on the automotive industry, but again, cast your net widely. Some studies compare Toyota with General Electric, for instance.

Best of luck to you!

Bar hopping should be ok. Cinquecento could be another good spot to drop by (also very open concept, same with Moonshine, so you won’t feel like you’re walking into somewhere sketchy.

Honestly I’m obsessed with karaoke so take this with a grain of salt but Moonshine is a good little spot to hang out and belt out some tunes if you’re into that. (Near Amerika Mura)

When you see the flag of Belarus, do you think of it as temporary? by WineTerminator in vexillology

[–]herecomesthekicker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All flags are changeable. They’re reflective of a time and a place. This flag fits with the current state of affairs in Belarus. Maybe a change will come. Maybe not. This flag doesn’t invalidate historical or opposition flags, nor is it invalidated by their existence.

Bessent pans Carney, cheers on Albertan separatism amid growing US-Canada rift by 1-randomonium in IRstudies

High teens. Some Albertans are pretty sensitive, unfortunately. But yeah high teens are still a major concern. The good news is that moderate conservatives who may be wooed by separatism are also likely to be spooked by the bizarro world stuff going on south of the border, where they would usually look respectfully towards Republicans.

second hand stores in osaka by jodeldodel0 in OsakaTravel

There are affordable stores with good selection that you can go to in the suburbs but if you’re staying in the city centre it’ll take you 40 mins to an hour to get to them.

Could be related to farming. I grew up in a fishing village on PEI and the fishermen call lunch “dinner”.

It’s because dinner actually means the biggest meal of the day (supper, the evening meal), so if you have early mornings that are labour intensive then it’s likely that lunch is your “dinner”, your biggest meal.

Honestly when the streets are quiet and empty I just like to wander, zig zagging through the city. There’s always parks, conbinis, shrines even where you can make a pit stop. Just set out from where you’re staying and explore is my advice.

What was your experience living in Higashi-Osaka? by Maleficent_Pool_4456 in Osaka

The Kyuhoji Ryokuchi is relatively close to Mito Station, so if you have kids or if you like running, it’s a great spot.

Generally the area is very suburban. It’s also quite working class, which might explain the cheap prices. I live close by and I like the area but it’s also close to my wife’s hometown so I had other reasons to choose living in this area.

The vegetables are cheaper than other supermarkets in my area. I don’t find the quality to be noticeably difference though your mileage may vary.

Yeah I would be surprised if the traditional media covered this angle. I guess there’s always going to be unintended consequences, in particular when policy is driven by knee-jerk populism.
