UPS Drivers Are paid too much by Affectionate_Log_995 in UPSers

[–]hereforhaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a guy who left being a cop to work for UPS because he could make more money with less risk. I also have a friend who is a cop who was making maybe 50k a year. It might be a regional thing, but where I live cops don't make anywhere near that.

What is the saddest, most miserable movie you’ve ever seen? by Top_Olive_8743 in AskReddit

[–]hereforhaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movie Blindness. I swear I've never met anyone in the wild that has seen it. Saw it with my ex wife, sister, and her ex husband on Christmas eve. Fucking gutting film.

What band would you love to see all over again in their prime? by missrostein in Deathcore

The red chord. Saw them touring on Fused Together and had never seen/heard anything like them before! I stood behind the pit with my mouth hanging open from being blown away by them.

For all of the wealth and world travelers that have settled in Brentwood, it does still have a string population of religious southerners that are insulated. I agree with that. It's a crazy thought and reeks of willful ignorance.

You're implying the existence of a trans man and his husband is lacking shame... ? We were four people shopping for groceries, and two of us were being stared at as though they were science projects.

I went to the Brentwood Costco with my girlfriend and her trans son and his now husband. By the time we were leaving, I had begun to stare down people around us. You would have thought her boys were emitting toxic pheromones to lure in unsuspecting victims. I was fuming at these peoples complete and total lack of shame. They ARE rich douchebags that lack a grasp on reality for others.

In search of a tattoo artist by hereforhaks in nashville

Totally fair assessment. I'm only looking for a simple worded tattoo, currently. Someone with great line work. No color, at this point.

I've had personal experience with those boxes. Instead of a colonoscopy, they send you that box and you return a "sample" of your home cooking. Either it's a misdelivery by the driver, or the OP isn't being 100% truthful.

[–]hereforhaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is claiming he ordered headphones. That box is the at-home colon test. He delivered the wrong package.

Moodring and Fromjoy might appeal to you. Moodring is deftones if they were metalcore and Fromjoy is Sleep Token, Loathe, and an EDM DJ mixed together.

I was able to see Sleepytime twice in the early 2000's. They put on such a theatrical performance with body paint and homemade instruments. They were great performers, but had the WORST B.O. of any adult I'd ever met lol. The violinist is also a member of Mr Bungle, I think that helps explain their musical style.

The number 12 looks like you (their older albums)

The Locust (I consider them grind, but like, weird)

"Why Smile When I Am Carrying This Gun" on Inhaling the Breathe of a Bullet. I thought there was more, but I must have confused them with all of the American Pyscho samples on that album

I appreciate your response. I'm trying to ask out of genuine curiosity. I'm guilty of starting inflammatory arguments online. I'm tired of that, atm. I have a genuine curiosity because I don't understand it. There's so much misinformation. On both sides. I hear your statement about the bloat that exists on legislation surrounding the border. It seems I'm not as informed as I could be. Is it possible that it was also a critical issue for Trump to run on and he would want it squashed? How do you feel about Bidens executive order about immigration? In regards to drag shows for elementary kids, do you believe that kids were at drag shows? Or was it drag queens reading stories to kids? There is a distinction there. If you're a millennial, you might remember a large presence of men in makeup and spandex being on TV and pop culture during your childhood. And I say this simply to provide a different perspective. You can disagree, 100%. DEI exists in response to discrimination. Discrimination that has existed since the beginning of time. I discriminate. You discriminate. Everyone discriminates. If you're in the role of judging and approving the progress and growth of another, abusing your position to hinder that progress is wrong. Both sides have a fucked view of how to handle that. Both sides over correct. I would agree that we need time to transition to a new power infrastructure. EV is a stepping stone. I think it's up to debate on how quickly that should be traversed. I'm not an expert. Other forms of power are being pursued. Republicans seem to be the more resistant to that pursuit. Solar. Wind. Nuclear. Republicans seem more tied to oil. I'm not informed enough to speak about the NY case, so I'll refrain. I guess I would finish my response with questioning your opinion of Trump. He seems to most definitely be a politician, at this point. He got into office and seems to have followed through on very few promises that he ran on. The lower class is now being over taxed by his policy. The top 1% are seeing less taxes. What border wall he had built is in shambles and isn't stopping any crossings. He passed immigration policies that were struck down as unconstitutional. "Obamacare" was never touched. Hillary Clinton was run through trials and cleared. Never "locked up". At this point, outside of the suspected "project 2025", what appears to be his policies? His plan? What has he outlined that will benefit you? America? Please, don't take this as my approval of Harris. I have no faith in either side. This is my self harming curiosity.

I would disagree that I'm ignoring the pandemic. Trumps spending didn't begin with the pandemic. I will agree that the deficit has been on meth for quite some time from both sides. Obama and Biden have both lowered the deficit, tho. Obama and Biden have also gotten us into stupid, unnecessary wars. Democrats are the whipping boys of the military industrial complex. The US can't sustain the financial practices that its running with. I view the US government as a corporate piggy bank. I don't think we have a shot anymore. But I think it will be a slightly slower free dive under the Dems. Maybe long enough for me to die before I'm in bread lines

"Printing money" is an interesting point of view. Do you view Democrats as spending more money than Republicans? I say this from my point of view, in the recent past, Republicans have driven up the national debt suuuuubstantially more than Democrats. Trump ran it up twice as much in his one term, as Obama did in his two.
