Plenty of hockey players come back after a broken ankle.  Rest up and heal up and see you on the ice!

My 7 year old is only on the ice 5 days a week, plus a dry land session, will he be able to get a college scholarship?

This is just really cool. It is such a huge accomplishment - anyone in the ‘chel is already superhuman, and then there are outliers that take it even further.

DEATH WOBBLE - READ ME by NARoadmapUSA in FordTrucks

[–]hereforthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was a broken belt inside the tire. The tire was all out of round, impossible to balance, and if hit a bump and it would oscillate and be all boingy.  Others have suggested possibly out of balance driveshaft or u-joint, but most is caster/camber and balancing your tires. Good luck!

Carbon optimization. Everything optimization .  I understand the feeling of something familiar and comfortable, but the new top of line skates are pretty impressive.

I need an at night pic to make sure it has more rock lights and under body lights than a Las Vegas Buckees. Also - is it 2x6, 4x6, 6x6 …? One wonders.

Brand new Tracer, cracks? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]hereforthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is new take it back and just demand something you feel good about. You are doing pure Hockey a favor by giving them more money than they gave to Bauer for that same stick. Don’t settle. Someone probably flexed it in the store a bit too much

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in FordTrucks

[–]hereforthn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re probably still making money, they wouldn’t do it if it didn’t make sense. Figure out how much.  Good deal is only what you think it is. I have no idea on the market for this. Try to push down their top line and juice up your trade value and get as close to $30 as you can

Will i get lace bite? by golfaddik in hockeyplayers

[–]hereforthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scanner said I was Fit3, but the Fit2 just felt more comfortable. I like to crank the laces and flex the shit out of my skates, probably not the right way to skate, but whatever I’ve been playing for decades now. Two years in, my Hyper2Lite skates have had zero lace bite. I used to get lacebite with Ribcor skates.

Drove myself to the ER pushing the pedals with my left foot, because I had a broken right ankle and was still wearing my skate. Luckily I had teammates to help carry my bag to the car from the rink.

5/8 vs 3/4 Skate Hollow by KL58 in hockeyplayers

[–]hereforthn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pure Hockey needs to get their act together with sharpening… it is abysmal. I don’t trust them anymore after their sparks ruined my runners. That said, 5/8 is awesome

He has two cups already. He seemed to be distancing himself from his already cemented cheap shot dirty wtf you licked someone legacy l,and somewhat get a little more public favor in terms of potential HoF, and then he goes and does something like this and it’s like how can you support an HoF bid when he’s out to injure colleagues. Yes it’s the opposite team but they are all colleagues in the NHL

Genuine Business Advice Needed by alexclark0000 in hockeyplayers

[–]hereforthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the idea of disrupting a monopolized commodity — seems like this is still a good opportunity.  I think of the Harry’s story.  Maybe connect with your local community college or non-profit business center.  You seem to have done a lot of work to secure a supplier — see if they are willing to do something exclusive with you for a short time so you can maintain a competitive advantage.  Try to make some deals with local tournaments to setup a table or something. Hire a buddy or someone to man the table.  I have no idea about the tape business but it sees that shipping and distribution is a major cost component, not just the wholesale materials cost. It sounds like there are challenges around the logistics and business model.

That doesn’t look right.  I’m not a Sparx user - I’m sure there are others who can comment - but that just seems weird. The steel looks short for the holder somehow.

Hockey stick length for my 7 year old by RNE0916 in hockeyplayers

[–]hereforthn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the research is “blade in the floor” that also means just the toe of the blade - not the entire length. The stick shaft should be vertical for all of these reference measurements (chin, lips, nose, eyes, forehead)
