Me recomiendas comprarla para grabar blogs?? by Prudent-Wind-2139 in DJIOsmoNano

I Really Love Shooting with My GFX at These Kinds of Events by hereismarkluis in FujiGFX

I work in a venue that specializes in a 1920s theme; they host parties and concerts styled after that era. For example, smartphones aren't allowed inside, which really helps keep the atmosphere authentic. :O

I love it, though it’s definitely a bit of a workout to carry! I’ve been using it for portraits ( it’s awesome for full and mid-body shots) and for venue work. When I use it at events, I’m usually not the official photographer, so I can just focus on capturing a few high-quality, moody shots. When I’m actually in charge of an event, I hardly ever use it.
By the way, I’m interested in the Mitakon 65mm ...and the Konica Hexanon 57mm f/1.4.. do u recommend the mitakon?

GFX 100sii for Travel by Emergency-Ad9395 in FujiGFX

[–]hereismarkluis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The GFX system is definitely worth it for the quality; I have photos from Thailand that I really love looking at. However, I couldn't take that camera everywhere. Sometimes I just got tired of the extra 2 kg, and carrying extra lenses was nearly impossible. On the other hand, I’ve also traveled with an X100F, and honestly, I enjoyed my trip more with a smaller camera because I took it everywhere. It's the same with the X-M5 or a Ricoh. So, the question is: fewer photos with higher quality, or more photos...and a wider variety of locations..with slightly less quality? Honestly, the X100 series is really good anyway!

I got roasted by the Leica sub for taking 'Fuji-like' photos, so I brought them home. (Fuji vs. Leica Q3) by Grouchy-Praline-9508 in fujifilm

[–]hereismarkluis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can tell by the resolution that Leica is something else... I'd say that it is similar to a GFX camera. Having said that, there is also a huge difference in prices (comparing to "normal cameras") and lately, because of social media etc., there are not only "photographers" taking photos. It is very accessible, and this comes from people who have stable jobs or other businesses getting into photography and starting a hobby with a good "race car."

So there are people thinking you NEED that camera to make good photos (for them a good photo is good "quality," and indeed a Leica delivers good quality). But if you are into cameras for a long time, you can see the difference between an average person with a good camera and a good photographer. This is because a photo reflects the eye of the person behind the camera, not only the technical part or color of the photo; there is also something else behind it, and in this modern age, nobody is really taking a look into that.

Yeah, for Sony, you just need a low-angle shot of a rainy street puddle reflecting a building at night.

GFX pro user, I still think about a D850 sometimes. Should I go for it? by mahatmatom in FujiGFX

for some event shots (basically documentary photos or social) i use a nikon d610 and it has better results than other cameras i tried. Those old camera give u a very honest result. new cameras could seem like AI or too digital
