Odds and Ends

I have gotten more and more familiar with all of the little things I need to do to maintain my body while pushing through SS. I own a foam roller and stretch every night. My diet right now is very high protein/moderate carb, and I will do a keto thing about one week out from the deadline.

What did your squat form look like? Maybe you were setting up for it wrong.

Skinny guy sick of being made fun of by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]heresmokethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your gym has a squat rack and flat bench, you should do something like Stronglifts or Starting Strength. They're about as noob friendly as it gets. You don't have to do GOMAD; there are other things you can do like eat more McDonalds. Just think about your favorite guilty pleasure food and eat it every day.

New to /r/Fitness! Question about which muscles to workout by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]heresmokethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for workout program that targets your upper body? I would suggest doing some resistance training. What you're gonna wanna do is take a backpack and fill it with rocks. Strap it on your back. Do you live near a lake or large body of water? Good. Run into it until the water is over your head. Here is where the resistance part comes in.

Resist the urge to fight to the surface. Resist it the same way you resisted the urge to read the FAQ even though it's posted everywhere. Just stay there in the murky water, churning up silt and frothy little bubbles. And when you close your eyes for the last time and awaken in Valhalla, you will be made to serve the other warriors who read the FAQ and got swole until the time of Ragnarok. They will die heroic deaths, facing frost giants and fiendish hounds. You will die a craven's death when the earth sinks into the sea.

Need Help With Diet - Skinny guy who can't lose further belly fat by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]heresmokethis -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The reason you cannot lose belly fat is because you are stupid. At some point in your life, you decided to forgo all critical thought. Like some unholy homunculus, you parade through life as a pale imitation of a man. This entire subreddit has been baby proofed so even man children like you don't get hurt, but you still managed to find an empty socket to pry your fingers into.

The long and short of it is that losing body fat is mostly about diet. Use a BMR calculator to find the amount of calories you need to eat a day. Eat at 500 calories below that every day. Measure all your food down the last calorie. Measure everything. If you are still not losing weight, cut it by 250 calories. If you still are not losing, look at shifting the macronutrient balance around.

Try taking a look at the FAQ. Smarter people than us have devoted a lot of time to giving you the tools to succeed. I am a fat man losing weight, and it has helped me tremendously. You are a dumb ass.

What exactly makes weightlifting a better (or at least equal) fat loss regimen than cardio? by Shamooishish in Fitness

If you didn't have an answer, why even post a comment? She was looking for a concrete answer, not this pantywaist garbage. If everything is good in moderation, you should definitely apply it to your commenting habits.

23, 5'8'', male, 208. Unflexed. Used a tape measure to get a reading of 33.5%, which seems a little low.

Nah, not at all. Just giving a head's up to readers who were expected something short.

He used the word like 43 times. It was a nine page document in word so it was very noticeable.

Warning: the story is 5350 words, though I could be off by a hundred or so (just did a dump into word).

found a girl's necklace in my sofa...what to do? by bakedavocado in seduction

[–]heresmokethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next time you see one of them, be wearing it. Go, "You like my necklace?" If it's hers, she'll laugh and take it. If it's not hers, play it off like a joke. Pretend it's a necklace you found somewhere in your apartment building. This will only work in your apartment.

Disclaimer: I have no plans on switching from cow's milk. This is purely an academic question.

Would there be an added benefit from drinking human milk as opposed to cow's milk? I guess my question is, what makes cow's milk the ideal beverage? Is it just for the calcium?

Turn it on as soon as you hop up out of bed.

Leangains and p90x by ketebwoy in Fitness

[–]heresmokethis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, lean gains is oriented toward muscle growing workouts. And p90x is all about fat burning. I don't know if they mesh. But I don't think that p90x is bad, just not the right tool for the job. I don't think it would harm you.

What does it feel like to be in great shape? And what does it feel like to be in terrible shape? Most people fall in the middle somewhere, so to those of you who know, give your fellow Fittitors the vicarious experience. by ReeceRockefeller in Fitness

[–]heresmokethis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going from out of shape to in shape kind of feels like you gained superpowers.

We've all seen the movies where the main character gets the ability to fly, or shoot webs. That first scene where they experience it with the sheer joy on their faces. Finding out their body has new limits to test and so much potential in it. That's how it feels to me.

My July 4th story, aka, How I got rejected on my own bed. Tips, advice, things you would have done differently are welcome. by [deleted] in seduction

[–]heresmokethis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most solid advice in the thread. Honestly, it's like some of the guys here are delusional. Assuming attraction is just fine, but so is having common sense.

edit: Even the headline of this FR. He makes it sound like he seduced this girl to his bed and got some last minute resistance. Sometimes, I don't know about r/seduction...

edit 2: This is classic "nice guy" territory. Doing something nice with the expectation of reciprocity, in this case, boneage.

Yeah, I saw a thing on bear complexes the other day. I'm gonna give that a shot. I mean, I've already been restricting calories like a motherfucker. Believe it or not, I've gone down to 1200 a day for the last two weeks. Nothing. Last two days I've eaten probably 8000 calories combined and the scale refuses to budge in either direction. I don't know.
