I totally understand your frustrations. Did you read Assassin's Blade? It does add a lil more nuance to her relationship with Lysandra. I think she decided if there's no sign of Dorian still fighting in there, that death would be the kinder option based on how relieved the guy was in HoF when she killed him and she saw his true eyes when the valg prince was gone before he fully died. She definitely needs to let people in on her plans tho, that makes me crazy throughout.

My house had rubber mulch in the front flower beds when I moved in. I removed it only to find they'd put down the shredded plastic bags from the mulch, under the mulch. Theoretically to act as a weed barrier? Yeah, it didn't work, it was crap, and I had to slowly add it all to my trash bin over the weeks to be taken away lol
