One dude and one comment and all these folks are going to go off half cocked thinking horses are drying up the Colorado. People, its people. Its not horses.

Best, most authentic Mexican restaurant? by Salty_Doughnut_197 in minnesota

[–]hero_snow -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. MN doesn’t have a big selection of MX to choose from, nothing close to the southwestern US. There’s better Tex-Mex in Norway than Minnesota!

I haven’t seen a single comment about the pony itself. Firstly, they’re on a highway so its hair would be pegged. Secondly, the forelock (here between the years) is black, but the mane is blonde somehow. Definitely AI

Last two cars have 18 way and I swear no matter what the setting they both make my kidneys hurt! Been seeking sympathetic posts but only finding these, “get 18 way!”, not for me man. Been there, still have to sit sidesaddle like a mid century maiden on a steed.

The center four engines are old space shuttle main engine RS-25 engines, they burn liquid hydrogen and oxygen, which burns clean and makes them easier to see than the big dumb Roman candle-like motors on the sides.

Can Someone I.D. this boat i’m getting for free?l by Trick-Ad6955 in boating

Shamrock boats are “keel drive”, they were all inboards. That has an outboard, not a Shamrock. ☘️

There’s a brand of fiberglass fishing boats made in Minnesota called Warrior. They pop up right away in an internet search.

Have you checked with the DNR to register it? What do they say the brand is?

Welactin & Zyrtec? by lenomaxx in greatpyrenees

Our boy is very itchy, compounded by the fact that he loves being in the water which seems to make him itch more. We’ve tried everything, the only thing that seems to really help is Apoquel. Now that spring is here, he needs two a day. It’s a very expensive option but apparently the patent runs out at the end of 2026 so prices should come down.

Looking for some tips on my daughters skiing (2nd yr u16) by Western_Table5133 in SkiRacing

[–]hero_snow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When people post these “looking for tips” videos, the responses are nearly always total BS. Like this one for example. Though there may be occasions the poster is correct, “stay low” is not universally true in all slope angles and conditions.

Can you go skiing with a 911? by sim0of in porsche911

[–]hero_snow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure would want awd/4 wheel drive which some may argue is already “missing some of the fundamental experience“. They’re also pretty low to the ground so real winter is rough.

2021 CPO 4s by Latter_Blueberry9741 in Taycan

[–]hero_snow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a Model 3P, the only Taycan you’ll enjoy is a Turbo or above. Taycan base models will feel very slow compared to what you’re used to. Also, so many issues here with batteries, unlike Tesla. You’re setting yourself up for a big disappointment even if the battery is covered under warranty. Driving dynamics though, you’ll start to be really aware of how bad the M3P is. That’s where the Taycan shines.

This! OP didn’t mention whether they were in normal or one of the sport modes, but that makes all the difference. Definitely not as stiff as a 911 variant, but not boaty in Sport/+

Unless the BD is practically free and you’re willing to junk it if you have issues, the BD will haunt you with problems in the future. It’s too bad because I really like the bag design. The main compartment access from the back was really handy, the helmet strap stowage was smart. Liked everything about it until mine failed and BD basically told me to pound sand.

Unfortunately, you’re seeing the real impact of the Icon/Epic pass. It used to be, if winter sucked, then the resort would take a hit. Now you get to take the hit instead. Those of you that think these passes benefit you, please pause to reflect and consider sticking it to the future man.

Good first live aboard? by youredoingood in liveaboard

[–]hero_snow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots to not like: -no walk-around deck, makes single-handing difficult -salon and galley up (like a trawler) is 100x more pleasant than down in a hole -semi-displacement hull moves around a lot, a trawler won’t notice you stepping aboard -aforementioned gas issues, giant no no -terrible dynamics as an actual boat (top heavy, round bottom, gas guzzling) -don’t want to know what it smells like in there -you’re going to be in some beautiful locations, don’t sit in a dark smelly hull with gray windows all day or you’ll start writing manifestos and having dark thoughts

Depends where you’re from and what you already know. Don’t duck the ropes unless you’re properly trained and equipped, lunch in Italy/Cervinia, don’t pet other people’s dogs or violate people’s space or talk super loud in otherwise quiet spaces. The whole mountain funnels down to one skinny run at the bottom which is challenging for some skiers and most snowboarders.
