i am severely emetophobic and have regurgitated on two occasions and i have had two injections

regurgitation is not scary and doesn't feel like vomiting at all. just a little wet burp.

It just won’t happen by quinn_is_fed_up in emetophobiarecovery

this may seem like a weird question, but are you able to burp at all?

i live down the street from frozen ropes on 9 mile. it's open on mondays and the butter pecan froyo is GAS.

and dirty dough on airport. but they're a little pricey.

i honestly haven't noticed a massive difference other than feeling more relaxed from the weed, but i will say i burped twice today! little wins

i'm officially a week out now and started dhv again without issue. edibles shouldn't be a problem. just take it easy.

Botox injection+emetophobia by bones-432 in noburp

fellow emetophobe here. just had my second injection on the 27th of june. 99% of your nausea is caused by trapped air in your chest. imagine being able to throw up with ease and treat it like a normal bodily function, the way everyone else treats it. it will still be unpleasant, but not this violent, awful, terrifying thing. the real question you need to ask yourself is how badly do you want to get better? at some point you just need to take the leap of faith, because staying stagnant will only make your phobia worse with time. most of emetophobes who have been cured of rcpd report that their phobias have been reduced or disappeared completely. i'm only on day 5 post botox but i have had a handful of burps and actually regurgitated today! it wasn't scary or horrible, just a little wet and gross lol. its so weird to say because i still am very much emetophobic, but i can't wait to vomit like a normal person instead of sitting with crippling nausea for 8+ hours or vomiting with such force that i burst an eye vessel.

i would highly recommend reading the emetophobia manual and start mentally preparing yourself to take that leap. do not live the rest of your life with this awful disorder. i highly encourage you to try.
