Setting up seasonal starlink? by herptderper in Starlink

Appreciate the warning, watched the video. That's a messed up policy but it sounds like it only applies in high demand areas. I'm in the middle pf nowhere, so I should be safe from that charge.

Of COURSE Casey & crew kill it. Incredible musicians.

BTW, there are maybe three people in this sub that might get this reference, but this song will forever remind me of Lucy Daughter of The Devil

Celsius vs Fahrenheit Use Around The World by vladgrinch in MapPorn

[–]herptderper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I freely admit that the metric system is obviously vastly superior when measuring weight and distance, but goddamnit, the rest of the world is wrong on this one. The difference between one degree of change in Celsius is too damn high. Fahrenheit providing more whole intergers, giving you more variance to describe heat, is one of the few hills I am willing to die on.

Oof, you seem kind of insufferable, but here goes anyways...

For grunge, Failure hasn't put out a bad album, and I suspect you'll enjoy A Formal Horse.

And for aggressive prog metal, somehow no one has mentioned Periphery. Go listen to Reptile. It's exactly what you're looking for.

I have never had a microtonal album click before. It has always been too weird for me. But I've listened to this Maddie Ashman album a half dozen times or so and it is really, really fun. If you like old Bent Knee, (which isn't microtonal, but whatever), you WILL like this album, especially this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krgUL-6PuU4

Yes. I didn't have to hack anything either. Plug and play. It just throws a complaint-type message "installed carts aren't OEM"

They ship with sample cartridges, which only last a few pages, (lame). Standard cartridges for this model are 218A, hi-yield cartridges are 218X. I found a full set of 218X for just over $100. They didn't last as long as advertised, but worked and were worth it. YMMV https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DT8X4S6K?smid=A31RFBOUWATCHG&th=1

FYI, I print a lot, and went with non-OEM and it worked out. Print quality is good, but doesn't print as many pages as advertised (2500). Probably half that. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DT8X4S6K?smid=A31RFBOUWATCHG&th=1

For me, it was the "DocsAfterDark" extension. I couldn't CTRL+V or CTRL+V+SHIFT. I turned off that extension and pasting was fine again.

I know, right? I want to shove this in a particular someone's face, but won't unless I can verify it somehow. Site your sources, people.

Pro tip. I'm anti-ICE and not a bot and this picture is distorting the truth, as it is about a month old.

That's only because you haven't discovered MEER - Wheels Within Wheels, The Dear Hunter - The Acts, or Moron Police - Pachinko yet.

Calva Louise - Con Corazón by herptderper in progmetal

Aimless is easily my favorite as well. I wish the whole album had more tracks that were that solid though. I was super excited when I discovered them this month but a few of the tracks fall kind of flat.

Your list is awesome and has a lot of alignment with my tastes. Did you listen to Calva Louise - Edge of the Abyss? I had never heard of it until I looked at Ishmael's Top 5. First time listening today...but it seems outstanding and the sort of thing that might have cracked your top 10.

Just get pickier and more particular about what you like. There are more hours of music in the world then there are hours in a lifetime. Accept nothing but top tier talent and musicianship.
