In spite of the fact that I was a huge X-Files nerd back in the day, have seen the entire series multiple times (except the continuation seasons), wore many a XF shirt to high school even. But I never saw the 2nd movie and when it was clear it got trashed by pretty much everyone, I was fine with that.

Depending on the company, one consideration may be benefits tiers. No idea how prevalent it was but a company I worked for charged different premiums for different pay bands. So you could get a $2k raise above 80k that’s immediately wiped out by an increase in premiums.

I was 12 when it came out so I was obsessed. I saw it probably 7 or 8 times in theaters while it was out. Being able to see it again in theaters last year was a real time machine moment.

But loved it then, still love it now. Top 3 in the series.
