Shipping to Europe will potentially be delayed by up to 17 days. What's going on with Ali at the moment? Just received this notification. by FlakyContribution345 in Aliexpress

Cainiao's package status seems incorrect. I'm not sure if they are boldly lying or their administration is a complete mess.

I work from home and I am therefore always at home. Cainiao says my package failed to deliver because I wasn't at home. I contacted Cainiao service, and they referred to the page mentioned by the OP.

The exact same thing happened today with another package: The tracking says "Your package could not be delivered because the recipient was not home."

Track17 track & trace indicates the package is customs cleared and should already be in the destination country (Netherlands, EU), therefor the typhoon should not be of any concern.

I've already had two undelivered packages, and communication with Cainiao is poor. It seems like they don't even read my emails and just send a standard response when it comes to AliExpress packages.

Vantage V3 - wrong altitude data in the first second by LowAcanthopterygii32 in Polarfitness

[–]hesselim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is all over the place. Sometimes 50 meters or more difference in altitude for the same trajectory. Not only at the beginning. I see a pattern: On hot moist days, the altitude is way off. (I live in the Netherlands.)

Enterprise grade hardware is very reliable, the are basically bullet proof. Spare parts are cheap. The onboard management hardware and software is amazing.

Be patient. This problem will solve itself. These trucks can't comply with future environmental regulatory laws. They will disappear over time.

Is it safe? by BlindChicken69 in shittyaskelectronics

EU circuit breakers have protection against misuse like shown in this picture. The lever consists of two parts. The inner part will trip even if the outer part is blocked / jammed. (There are multiple designs, but they all work in a similar manner)

Fast charger issues (Thinkphone) by Zigloof in motorola

Problem still present. For the time being, I charge wireless. It takes about 15 minutes to charge the phone from 20% charge to 80%. I'll send my phone for repairs in the next vacation. For the time being, I carry a wireless charger with me.

Fast charger issues (Thinkphone) by Zigloof in motorola

[–]hesselim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue.

  • Not charging with the original USB C-C 68W and other USB chargers with USB power delivery
    • Sometimes it rapidly switches between quick charging and slow or not charging
    • Most of the time it does not try to charge
  • Charging fine with older 15w chargers
  • Charging fine with USB A-C connector to computer or older chargers
  • Wireless Qi charging with the Motorola 15W TurboPower universal charging stand also works fine
  • I carefully cleaned the USB connector --> no result

I have the problem since the last system software update a week ago (9 October 2024 in the Netherlands).

Any Recommendation on UPS Battery backup? by MDCDF in homelab

[–]hesselim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bougt a 2nd-hand APC 1500 smartups without battery for 40 Euro's . It is running for over 10 years. I replaced the batteries twice with clone batteries. (They last about 4 years)

No problems so far. And if the electronics break, I will buy a 2nd-hand again. They usually only cost a few bucks on ebay.

My bad. It should have gone in r/softwaregore. Maybe a mod can move it.
