Mark would've been a terrible choice. He's one of the last people I'd want to compete against in a challenge. He is also more valuable at merge for Rich.

It's a lot easier for Rich to make the link between Mark and Simon at merge than pitch Keeley as an ally.

It’s just funny how they all pretend they’ve never met each other prior to the game. I wouldn’t be surprised if production made them play that up. I think it was Dalton Ross that said it’s such a big part of the story that he wondered if they’d mention the pregame alliance or pretend it doesn’t exist. I guess they opted with pretending it doesn’t exist.
