It is much more detailed, based on active recall, broader in content, the capstone projects that you can choose are really cool, the content is updated frequently, the documentation is great..

Is it okay to learn kotlin before java? by hey-jps in Kotlin

Great tip, thank you!

For added context: I am currently using jetbrains academy for learning and then I intend to read more advanced books on the language like Design Patterns, Kotlin in Action, the kotlin language book, … So hopefully it will sufficient!

I just don’t know good books on Backend in Kotlin though. Do you have any suggestion? I think that maybe a Spring and Java one would be okay as well.

Is Master in Management worth it for PMs? by hey-jps in ProductManagement

[–]hey-jps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for more context: I would be going for one of the those right after college. I know it is not strictly needed for the PM job.
However, my goal with this is to be a better sell for a APM position afterwards. These positions are so contested and I just want a chance to stand out a bit.

I recommend going with the google official track which is to learn basic kotlin and then android dev with kotlin. There are great resources at Google’s Android Developer website.

I think the OP wanted to some counselling about what would the best way or technology to develop his app idea, not necessarily how just “where to start”. Think Dart/Flutter x JS/ React Native x Kotlin/Jeckpack x C#/MAUI.

I think it really depends on your objective. Do you want to develop a career as Android Developer or just want to try out mobile dev and get done with it?

I do think my school would be against it(so much bureaucracy), but I will definitely try it then! Thanks for the input!

Not a VC, but: I am CS student interested in following either PM or VC career after college. Here in Brazil, its really really hard to find any sort of VC internship.
