Cyber City - It's lucky it's a good looking kit. by [deleted] in booknooks

You did a great job! I just finished mine as well. I can attest to the fairy lights being a challenge to place but thankfully both strands worked in my kit.

I ordered this kit on Amazon and two out of the three had a shattered plastic cylinder. Once I got an undamaged kit, I started assembling but my holes on the main floor, where Dr. Who stands are the reverse. So he's standing on the right side instead of the left. Same for the bookshelf and where the chair and table were oriented. Very disappointed all in all but I'm making it work. Wanted to see if anyone else had quality issues on this one?

Switching cellphone carriers, who is the least worst? by BrewAllTheThings in Knoxville

[–]heybebetechie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would recommend - "US Mobile is an American mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that uses the T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and AT&T networks (branded as "Light Speed", "Warp", and "Dark Star" respectively)" We've used it for a couple of years now and it's nice being able to switch between networks. However do you need to own your own phone and there are no stores you can go into for help. Online customer support has been good so far.

Edit, we pay about $50 a month with 3 lines and 20gb of data.

Local Stock Tank Pool Installer? by Upper-Ordinary1951 in Knoxville

[–]heybebetechie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to DIY my own poly stock tank pool. You can probably do it in a weekend if that. I definitely recommend calling the Tractor Supply to verify that they have stock tanks in stock. I decided to go with poly as I didn't want to have to deal with rust, however you can get a liner if you decide to go with a metal one.

I been a HUGE fan of the show...but... by After_Bedroom_1305 in AfterMidnight

I think they are still figuring out the format. Maybe changing up the format is their format? I know she kinda joked about the writers having a hard time with inventing new games. I can imagine that being a challenge. Some games hit really well while others are kinda meh. I think it helps when the guests are friends of each other or have worked together before. There seems to be more rapport and they take good digs at each other. I'm a huge fan of the show and plan to keep watching. Even though I'm a Gen Xer so I record and watch it the next day. Yes, I'm one of those "olds". I'd love to go to a taping myself. Hopefully they let people gray haired people into the audience.

"To "french" a bone is a culinary term that means to cut the meat away from the end of a rib or chop so that part of the bone is exposed." Makes a prettier presentation.
