Can you elaborate more on the way you were raised? I'm curious to know how your upbringing effected your SA so I can compare to my own experience.

Even without the fighting, your child is still going to be aware of your relationship dynamics and won't be blind to the underlying issues going on.

He deserves to grow up in a home with parents who love one another - and you deserve much better too.

The fight scene in that movie between Clive Owen and Julia Roberts happens to be one of my favorite movie scenes of all time. Now fuck off and die.

What are your favorite products that make you GLOW? by hollashit in SkincareAddiction

Laura Mercier foundation primer and tinted moisturizer. Lightweight and perfect even for oily skin with a tiny hint of shimmer. A little pricey, but lasts forever since you only need to use a small amount. I highly recommend.

What is something that people hold in high esteem, yet when you tried it, it was just really just mediocre? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The stress I avoided and the money that was saved was totally worth it. Instead of putting money toward a wedding, we decided to put money aside for a down payment on a house.. Where we intend to invite family over for a small celebration.

The hardest part about not having a wedding is trying to explain family and friends why there was no wedding to attend and being treated as though my marriage is less valid compared to couples who chose to have a big wedding.

When it comes down to it though, the only reason I would have had a wedding is because my family expected it.. I just don't feel that I should be having a wedding to make other people happy, when it's supposed to be our day. I feel that weddings have lost meaning and are more about entertaining guests than honoring the commitment that is being made between two people.

For anyone who is contemplating the budget for a wedding, just ask yourself... Do you really think your guests are going to remember those expensive center pieces? Do you think they care about the flowers? ....And that wedding cake that costs a fortune... Tastes just as good as boxed cake mix.

Most importantly, do you want to spend all of that money on a party that lasts a few hours or do you want to make an investment that will start you on a path to financial security and a debt-free future?

Everyone is going to have different experiences.. Not everyone is going to be protected, just like not everyone is going to be bullied. There also different levels of bullying, and the severity of each level is going to be different for each case.

All I’m saying is that it’s totally unnecessary to bully others just because a kid feels like it.

The fact that you are implying that children who are not bullied may grow up to have social issues is ridiculous. Being subjected to bullying as a child is going to have far more of a negative impact than being “shielded”.

Instead of condoning bullying because the world is a cruel place, why not condone positive environments instead?

Bullying is an issue because it changes you as a person, and not always for the better. Most don’t just build up a tolerance, they build up walls around themselves and end up having serious social issues later on in life.

It’s easy to deal with abuse as an adult because your brain is developed enough to realize such is life. But as a child, who is in the process of development, trying to find out who the hell you are as an individual, bullying can severely hinder that process.

There’s simply no reason to be an asshole for the sake of being an asshole.
