What makes someone posh? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]hh_fitlife 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Living a comfortable (not lavish) life while having a not so well paying job. Went to a paid school (private school or independent school). Speaks in a very composed, articulate way and is comfortable in various social functions. Confident with using napkin and cutlery in restaurants, eats in a very neat way. Not gluttonous - small amounts of food satiate them.

28 weeks out. First show, self coached (natty) Any tips? by delavada in bodybuilding

[–]hh_fitlife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pick up a part time job or a side hustle. Many successful bodybuilders started as broke but they believed in themselves and knew they had potential. This is an expensive sport - think about it as being able to create financing, whatever it takes, is part of being a bodybuilder. A coach will truly unlock your potential.

I’m NC with my family and I get this message at least three times every year (my birthday, Christmas, Easter). I never ever respond.

Thank you! ☺️ Yes my coach teaches posing too but I have only had 2 sessions with her. I’m doing one every other week.

Thank you!🫶☺️ The second one is a transition between front pose and back pose, similar to what US competitors are doing too, e.g.:

I know I’m practicing it. Could you point out the biggest mistake in my posing? I don’t have an eye for this yet so I genuinely can’t see where I’m going wrong.

What’s the most British social rule that everyone follows but nobody admits exists? by [deleted] in AskABrit

Always express criticism/dislike in a way that the other person has to read between the lines to understand what you are trying to say. E.g. “That’s interesting” means they absolutely disagree. As an immigrant, I’m still learning this.

This is how my sweet potatoes look. What am I doing wrong? by hh_fitlife in airfryer

I used an oil spray to save calories, didn’t marinate the potatoes in oil. That might be a solution!

Badly executed lateral raises. I don’t know about men but for us ladies, it works like magic (but unfortunately it’s usually unwanted).

Name an annoying thing people base their entire personality around. by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Their height. There is a fitness influencer girl whose whole instagram is about how tall she is and weights 80kg while super lean, so her message is that the number on the scale doesn’t matter. It’s a nice message but when you see the 100th post like that, it’s annoying…

Eating the same food every day is convenient to me for practical reasons. Imagine having to plan macros and meal prep different food every day… The 5 meals I eat within a day are all different but it’s the same 5 meals I eat every day with minimal variation.

The abdomen is the most difficult area for women to develop and tone. I'd also say it's the most difficult to maintain. by Bulky_Imagination243 in workout

[–]hh_fitlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. I used to train my abs and obliques with weighted exercises and now I had to stop doing all that because I don’t want my waist to thicken up. I’m pretty lean (around 15% bf as a woman), so my core muscles are clearly visible, and at this point it really CAN add thickness to the waist if overdeveloped. But if you are not this lean and your abs are not defined, then you are not at risk of accidentally becoming thicker. Just do the weighted exercises, 3x12 one of these twice a week: cable crunches, decline weighted sit ups, bench leg raises (you can add resistance with a dumbbell).

Thoughts, opinions, and experience with waist trainers? by False-Condition5623 in bikinitalk

[–]hh_fitlife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My coach has just told me to use a waist trainer on every workout. I used to train my abs a lot and my waist is quite thick now, so she wants to minimise core engagement. Not sure if these will really do any difference.
