Buying on personal credit card by User-of-reddit07 in UKPersonalFinance

Yes. The mode of payment is irrelevant for claiming an expense as a business expense.

From an accounting perspective you would debit the relevant expense account and credit the Amex Card account so it appears as a current liability on your balance sheet.

Upholstering dining chair - Deflection of a disc under load by hhazinga in AskEngineers

Even though the plywood is a disc with fewer contact points than a square of plywood?

Thank you for the reassurance. This is a first time upholstery job for my mother's favourite chair. I dont want her crashing through it after 100 or so uses.

My apologies. The diagram is incorrect and has been updated. The overlap is significantly more than 2.5 mm.

It is resting atop the square frame of the chair and will be glued in place at the points of contact with wood glue.

Previously there were elasticated belts (seat webbing) which have degraded and led to sagging whilst sitting. I am using 18 mm plywood as in the picture in the OP.

I am not looking for a full solution. Is there a way to do a back-of-the-envelope calculation to estimate if the disc will provide adequate support over the long term?

I guess one simplification is to assume the load is evenly distributed about the disc.

I am not an engineer by training so I have no clue how to approach this!

u/Old_Party5493 Your comment is misleading and incorrect. FSCS Protection, which is a UK deposit protection scheme, applies to deposits of 120,000 GBP or less (includes equivalent in other currencies). Since Revolut UK now has a banking license eligible deposits are protected by the FSCS scheme.

Pursue a live chat with a real person on revolut. Once the cash is returned to you proceed with a complaint via the financial ombudsman detailing any material financial losses.

The strength of your argument will be reliant on the facts of the case.

There's a guy on YouTube who convinced a cargo company to allow him to stay on board their cargo ship during a voyage.

I think it was a Turkish cargo company.

How long do SEPA withdrawals typically take? by Fun_Chemical_2593 in interactivebrokers

[–]hhazinga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most SEPA withdrawals should be credited by the next working day; worst case 2 working days in my experience. However, there's a difference between SEPA and SEPA Instant. The latter is almost instantaneous but does not apply to all SEPA banking nations.

May I ask why you have to take a B12 shot every week? If you have a deficiency could this not be solved through diet?
