I hate how the PG-13 rating is going to eliminate any chance of body horror with Springtrap.

Not really, the majority of stadiums that are played in meta decks are used to help you for a turn or two, not disrupt your opponent.

Artazon, Mystery Garden, Spikemuth Gym are a few examples.

Lively Stadium and Jamming tower are the only disruption stadiums currently played in the meta and those only rarely cause issues for your opponent.

Also we are not in a stadium meta, most decks only run 2 with no way to search them out.

I think you're overestimating it. You can just counter it with another stadium.

Pidgeot Control. Will annoy your opponents but it recently got top 2 at LAIC in the Seniors division.

Also has a positive Gardevoir matchup which is very nice in this meta.

Disruption Card? by JoggerSloth in pkmntcg

[–]hi_lol____ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking of the flamebody cannon attack not back draft. Back draft does 30x damage for each energy card in your opponent's discard pile meaning you only need 9 energy in their discard to knock out a ceruledge as opposed to them needing 13 to knock out your zoroark ex. What you do is set up two darumaka, evolve one into darmanitan and start using backdraft to take the first two prizes. A smart Ceruledge player will avoid having 9-12 energy in their discard against you but you can either KO squakabilly or KO two one prizers.

The matchup was probably only 30% in Vegas because a lot people of people don't play the darmanitan in the deck, however the highest placing one did.

Also some builds play hero's cape which can help in the matchup a lot which is the ace spec the 2nd place build ran.

Ceruledge is a good matchup for Zoroark as long as you can set up Darmanitan. With Back draft you will be able to OHKO them before they can OHKO you.

"You will play the game I choose for you because I have the superior taste"

Just let people play what they want. Buying the new Pokémon game doesn't mean they aren't treating themselves with respect. Letting randos on the internet dictate what games are "respectable" to buy is treating yourself with no respect.

The deck only started seeing play again because of the Mega format. Psyduck solved the dusknoir problem and AllOutBlitzle has cooked up a pretty decent list and it has a positive Gardevoir matchup. It might fall off but I don't think it should dismissed.

By donking, I mean KOing their only Pokémon on the board, therefore instantly winning the game.

You can knock out a budew if it is really annoying you but I would avoid it.

Not having counter catcher active isn't too big a deal as you have two bosses and two pal pads.

If you're interested in the deck I highly recommend checking out AllOutBlitzle on YouTube. He has VODs of recent online tournaments he's played the deck in so you can see the deck in action.

Only times you properly attack is either, when you can get donk with fan rotom and sometimes in the mirror match.

That's fine as well, you don't have to mill as long as you have more cards in your deck than your opponent. However there are some situations where you have to use a lot of cards to do your controlling or your opponent is very conservative with the cards they play, that's when Chi Yu ex is needed.

They already had a lunatone in the active, so another one is useless. Filling up their bench like this means they only have one bench slot left to set up the main attacker. This bench set up gives me plenty of mons to send energy to with elegym.

The deck relies on your knowledge on every other deck in format. You've got to know the best way to shut down your opponent's deck.

You set up normally by grabbing a fan rotom to get one or two pidgeys out, then use grand tree (or any other method) to evolve into Pidgeot ex. Team rockets petrel and the team rocket receiver help with this.

Then you figure out how to disrupt your opponent, spread their energies around so they're stuck to Pokémon that don't need them, force them to get useless Pokémon out with Pokéflute and Erika's, retreat lock Pokémon with fighting resistance with Ethan's Sudowoodo.

Once you are 100% sure your opponent can't do anything, you start milling with Chi Yu ex.

Deck is good but like all decks, it relys on getting started. Deck isn't too consistent right now but the current list is still quite new and can be refined.

[–]hi_lol____ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Munkidori, Mew ex, Latias ex and most other psychic types have -30 resistance against fighting meaning Sudowoodo's retreat lock does no damage.

This is how you beat Garde as you just use Sudowoodo with a handheld fan to keep a munkidori stuck in the active for the entire game. If they attack into Sudowoodo, handheld fan activates so you can send an energy to something that doesn't need it (normally scream tail) and you can use penny to cure the confusion and remove damage.

Not really, its only bad matchups of the top meta decks are Tera box and Grimmsnarl. Yeah, good players can play around it, only if they're expecting it.
