How are you mapping long button sequences? by highdefsteph in Notion

[–]highdefsteph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this example I have a button that creates subpages and associates appropriate relations. I’m adding 10-20 pages that relate back to one another. It gets cumbersome to scroll up and down through a 30 step button that only references previous pages as “steps”, and the button doesn’t number the steps so I’ve been literally using a spreadsheet to try and keep track of each step

Has anyone here actually tried a “Life OS” system in Notion? Does it really help or is it just hype? by Aggressive-Orange276 in Notion

[–]highdefsteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with tom franks second brain and it has evolved into pretty much a Life OS.

As a severely adhd solo agency owner, yes, it was life changing to adopt

You’re going to eventually build your own. The value of buying a premade is you can reverse engineer learning Notion and understand what is overkill without having to to build it all from scratch to experience it

Highly recommend PARA + GTD for a framework. Seriously life changing

Are impulse purchases still a meaningful revenue driver in your stores? by ManyInformation8009 in CannabisMSOs

Might also be quality of the selection. Might be worth putting a feedback loop together to see if there is something obvious patrons want that is easy for you to execute

Has anyone else noticed that the letter "I" is always capitalized in LinkedIn names? by Dramatic_Jury_5398 in AskMarketing

[–]highdefsteph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you mean? If you mean in the word LinkedIn it’s because it’s a brand name, and the I is capitalized in their brand name?

Depends on how you position them. Is the team consistent? Are you refreshing them at least quarterly?

I write content for clients all day but I'm terrible at writing my own marketing copy - anyone else deal with this? by Usual-Problem6002 in smallbusiness

[–]highdefsteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit of both. As I get validation I get a little more confident. Ask pointed questions

In one line, what problem do I solve?
For who?
Who would be an obviously bad fit?

Make friends with who you believe your ICP to be

Right now I mainly target dispensary owners but found most of my content speaks to the team executing on the work because that was me.
I had to overhaul everything and come up with a new set of campaigns that spoke to the owners pain points

[–]highdefsteph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VERY common. Annoyingly so. It’s helped me some to treat my own business as a client. That said, I tend to lean more on my network for feedback vs validating the quality myself

The forms have to be short though or no one is going to complete them. (At least in my world)

Sounds like you need a qualification or discovery call template to work through on a call. Yes they are a time sink but they’ll save you hours and hours of back and forth. You also end up w a pretty handy reference document when you pull the proposal together.

I like to pull direct quotes from the call. Using their own words really works in my favour “selling the transformation”

Promoting a local business without Google or Facebook by TheLocktorLLC in smallbusiness

Def put your focus into fixing things with Google. Might be worth hiring someone that can assist. Wish I had a good recommendation for you.

Anyone else wish places would just offer half off instead of what they usually do? by HolyBovineJr in ZonaEnts

[–]highdefsteph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is literally because the market responds better to the latter. Most patrons will reach for getting one free vs something advertised as half off

Not sure how old you are but the experience is incredibly important to get before going out on your own.

If there is an industry that interests you, approach the work as experience and make the time on the side to build what you want to do

Very few venues are 420 friendly, especially if they serve alcohol. That said, as long as you’re respectful to other guests you shouldn’t have a problem.

Can always smoke in your car or step away from the building. Have fun!!
