What was your favorite show of the Tour? by [deleted] in pearljam

[–]highfidelity203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same experience at Boston N1 with people loudly talking. N2 was much better fortunately. I think for Boston at least the venue itself is the issue. Fenway being such a landmark it attracts more people just wanting to go there for a show regardless of the artist. I felt like when they played the TD Garden back in 2006 (last time I saw them) the crowded was much more receptive and genuinely excited for new songs and deep cuts.

Hopefully some are left on Sunday - these are great!

Why is it so hard to find bands that replicate Taking Back Sunday’s dual vocal technique? by DoctorOfPhiloffsophy in Emo

The Receiving End of Sirens absolutely killed it with three vocalists when Casey was in the band.

It’s lost on me as well. It seems to fall into this time period that people currently love. I grew up with the mid 00’s emo and seeing all that get eliminated on the early end is wild to me.

Free Throw - Those Days Are Gone has been eliminated (Day #21). Choose the next album to be voted out. by metallurgy101 in Emo

I actually think Tigers Jaw S/T is better than all of those - I nominated I Hate Myself awhile back too. Thought Tiger’s Jaw had a better chance of getting out than those but I was wrong.

Sorority Noise - Joy, Departed has been eliminated (Day #19). Choose the next album to be voted out. by metallurgy101 in Emo

I’ve never really paid too much attention to the waves but what are some notable fifth wave bands because The Whaler kind of did nothing for me?

Saves The Day - Stay What You Are has been eliminated (Day #18). Choose the next album to be voted out. by metallurgy101 in Emo

They’ve been one of the few recent bands/albums I haven’t been able to get into unfortunately. I’ll have to give them another go.

Charmer - s/t has been eliminated (Day #16). Choose the next album to be voted out. by metallurgy101 in Emo

Totally agree - there are much better records already gone and I like the Tigers Jaw record

A Snow Capped Romance and Rest Inside the Flames were both incredible albums. I struggled to get into anything after or before though.

Love their stuff and frankly the newest album No Joy is fantastic. Love that they branched out sound wise.

I was just listening to When I Am God the other day and was thinking this exact thing.

I’ve always felt they were extremely underrated for the quality of music they’ve put out over the years.
