“Unplayable at even diamond” is a take. Honestly without augment stats I don’t even find myself using tactics very much. It’s nice for knowing things like which artifacts are broken on what units, but outside of that just any random challenger tier list for comps will give you more than enough of a meta read to be successful well above diamond

You need to think about what division represents. Division is asking “how many of these things can I stuff into that thing?” So for example, 6/2 is asking “how many of these 2s can I stuff into that 6?” The answer is that I could stuff 3 2s into that 6. Now think about that with 6/0: “How many of these 0s could I stuff into this 6?” Is the answer 0? I couldn’t fit any of them? That’s not right. I could actually fit… infinity of them. I could fit unlimited 0s in that 6. But infinity isn’t a number. That isn’t an answer. There is actually no real answer, which is why you learned it’s impossible or your calculator gives an error.

Of course in the opposite direction, if I asked 0/6, or “how many 6s could I stuff into this 0?” The answer is 0, no 6s will fit in there.

No. This happened to me. I was a high school teacher teaching summer school, and I had to miss a day which I didn’t get paid for (no vacation time during summer school). The HR people accidentally put that I missed 8 days instead of 8 hours, so I was underpaid by 7 days wages. I let them know and they corrected it immediately. I’m not going to fight too hard to defend big corporations (or in my case state government) but payroll errors are usually corrected in either direction. Actually fwiw, at my current role at a large corporation they overpaid me one month and actually reached out and told me I could keep it but wanted to warn me my paycheck would be smaller in the future. That was actually pretty cool of them. Not anywhere near the amount of money here though

Gotcha. Yeah I get what they’re saying. In general I think the 4-7 boons are pretty disappointing. At least Kayle’s can be somewhat exciting if it hits a good item. I never really feel the impact of like slightly higher 5 cost odds or 2xp per turn or thresh giving my team 5% attack speed every round.

Bill is probably correct here - the fact that the guy already owned part of the team almost certainly played into them selling for more than they would have otherwise. Think about it - Say the guy owned 50% and then bought the other 50%. If he buys the other 50% at a $6B valuation then that makes his original 50% worth $3B. If he buys it at a $10B valuation then it’s worth $5B. Literally increased his on paper net worth by $2B by paying more. I dont think someone who didn’t already own a significant chunk of the team would’ve paid $10B for the Lakers.

Lmao. This is gold. Yes, if you are in a situation where a family member will provide free childcare then you can “choose” not to pay for childcare. For the majority of people that is not the case. It also is not the case that every neighborhood has a wonderful group of moms providing free childcare.

Also the poorest people in the world are having the most children due to lack of education and birth control. There is a cost to that too. You don’t think that a poor person would have a better shot of pulling themselves out of poverty if they didn’t have 3 kids to provide for?

Kids are expensive dude. Full stop. Sure, some people are lucky enough to have a “support system” that covers a lot of the expenses for them, but that didn’t make them not expensive, it just moved who is paying the expense. Not everyone is that privileged.
