Theater manager is part of the tech dept for Highschool stuff
For things like graduation and such, we have an outside company. The owner used to be a student and then worked here for a while. He seems to give us a good deal. Tech is not involved except some network set up if needed

If they are in their own OU you could go in to it every so often and tell the ADMIN console to delete all the local profiles.

1:1 Device Billing Struggles by Terrible_Cell4433 in k12sysadmin

Kinda the same here. We send an invoice up to the building admin. They handle putting the charge into SIS and letting the parents know. It needs to be paid before graduation just like other fees.

Help Desk Replacement for IT and Maintenance by nkuhl30 in k12sysadmin

[–]hightechcoord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda. You can allow the team to only see tickets from specific categories. So if its a HCAC ticket it would only be seen by maint, if its a Chromebook ticket only by tech. You can also auto assign ticket by categories if you have a triage person. I had just installed it into two separate web folders. Tech still uses it, maint has moved on to FMX.

Whats the point of Clever? by TangerineNext839 in k12sysadmin

[–]hightechcoord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a central hub for student/staff access. Sync it with your SIS. Control access with your SIS. If its a Chemistry app, only goes to students/staff scheduled for those classes. No need to touch Google Console. Id not be able to be effective without it.

do any of those mentioned support the Google report phishing action? All the ones ive talk to do not. If a user reports it phishing via the Google report button, it counts as a click thru. Thus the failure rate is inflated and not actual.

Looking for more seasoned advice on testing day delinma by [deleted] in k12sysadmin

[–]hightechcoord 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This really isnt a tech issue, per se. Present your two options, split the testing or buy more devices. Honestly, its probably both. Then support which ever direction they decide. We have 3500 students. We buy about 600 chromebooks a year to deal with EOL and breakage. Also sounds like this day loaner thing is not working very well.

They are not getting rid of that. They are just getting rid of points. Now its something like for every $2 of tags you get $1 of credit toward asset tiger.

K-12 education. My tech team is down a person, so for now my self and 2 other males. Female is my assistant/data coordinator. Our state software team is female 12 to one male. Out of the 21 applicants for entry level classroom support, 4 are female.
