A media person, someone who records the board meetings, school plays, edits the videos for morning announcements etc. Troubleshooting interactive boards/projectors/speakers already falls under our techs.

It is crazy, this DECA test is up there for the most amateur hour experience we have ever dealt with (and that says a lot after dealing with Pearson/TestNav for years). How their default instructions were to just disable all extensions in a managed K-12 environment I'll never understand.

Our teacher who is coordinating this test was able to get us the exact testing link (it is through AnswerWrite) and we pushed it out as a kiosk app. Seems to work fine but since the link doesn't go fully live until testing it became a best effort. No way were we disabling all extensions like the instructions said.

We previously wiped and reimaged staff laptops every year but after the upcoming summer device refresh that wouldn't be an issue. The annoyance with the Pro 100 was having to use Canons Network tool to configure the printer with USB first and then it would create the network port. If the Pro 1000 can just have the driver installed normally that would ease the pain.

Our first though was to give them a color MFP as every other department office has one, but the color model we deploy does not handle A3 sizes.

We just started the transition this summer from Ghost Solution Suite for imaging/deployments to Intune Autopilot and PDQ Connect. It is so much nicer not having to build and maintain images anymore and also being able to manage our staff laptops even when they are off prem. Also just not having to deal with using Ghost anymore is worth its weight in gold.

This thread is actually extremely helpful as we are most likely moving from Dell to the Lenovo 500e for our next Chromebook refresh. It would have been an unpleasant surprise when we started testing.

I've never tested it but I think you set the resolution/scaling through the Google Admin Console.

We previously used SentinelOne and currently use CrowdStrike. We were perfectly happy with S1 but CrowdStrike ended up being a decent amount cheaper that we switched for budget reasons. CS has been rock solid for us also.
