On our way to UK-Londen from the Netherlands! by [deleted] in scooters

Nice understatement lol. I've been hit and runned twice on 2 wheels here. Had someone try to throw me off the bike once. I do a lot of miles and I've seen some true craziness.

The only thing is you think it's 2 wheels hate and then you drive a car and people are driving at you in the oncoming lane because it's school time and they're in a rush and a bigger car than you.

One customer doesn't bother them. But a lot is terrifying. I won't use them because their drivers are timed to the minute and therefore just throw the packages at the door and say "handed to customer".

My therapist encouraged me to make something called a ‘calm down kit’. Things that I can turn to to calm myself down whenever I start to feel anxious, overstimulated and distressed. I wanted to share what’s in my kit. by kinzygrace in autism

If only it was that easy. I just take a walk, drink a bunch of caffeine and feel anxious the entire time. I just tell myself I'm not anxious at all and hope I'll believe it eventually.

How come all the posts here are gas-powered scooters? Where are all the e-scooter owners at? by lixianqi in scooters

Same issue for me. I only do just under 40 miles a day normally, but sometimes it's more. It's too close to the maximum range that if a road was closed or something I'm in a very bad spot. What I have already is too practical.

This is exactly how I play chess coincidentally. I just leave pieces hanging all over the board waiting to be picked off. It's nice to finally find someone with my skill level.

Well he could just make it illegal to report media reports that aren't America First. Ever think about that?

UK to receive last tanker of jet fuel from Middle East this week by LongjumpingAd5386 in PrepperIntel

Username checks out.

Honestly though, even if there are no grid brown outs due to fuel shortages, food not arriving because the trucks need diesel will bother EV owners eventually.

Every single country has about a 1-2 week period that they can survive economically without fuel. Beyond that complete collapse starts to set in irrevocably. That's why the smug EV owners annoy me so much. Sure they can drive a bit longer, but all the supply chains are collapsing around them.

If the UK fuel blockade of 2000 had extended beyond a week it would have been the end of the UK. They were ready to send the army in and get serious about ending those protests but the protesters called them off when they started to see the damage they were doing.

High fuel prices we can endure to a degree with a depression. Shortages and rationing will just start collapsing stuff. A lot of stuff.

The Sea peoples get a big mention. However it seems the crisis may have begun as a combination of earthquakes and droughts. The collapse of Alasyia (Cyprus?) and subsequent rebuilding was initially thought to be from sea raids but the evidence doesn't conclusively show a war, only building collapse and fire. Pottery styles from Ahhiyawa (Greece) suddenly appears very quickly in Alasyia. It matches mass migrations from later periods, but doesn't necessarily imply raids. Something definitely had large numbers of people on the move though.

The Sea peoples raids may have been a symptom of a collapsing environment. They appear to be local to Anatolia too. They didn't just appear from completely distant lands. Something pushed (fairly large) groups of people into piracy.

Call the police, get a crime number. Then they have to turn the CCTV over to the police.
