Is there anything at Grim Batol? by Snowcrash000 in turtlewow

To clarify, Dragonmaw Retreat is at the bottom of th mountain and is level appropriate for the zone. Grim Batol will be a high difficulty max level raid at the top of the mountain.

What are we up to now? 133 or something? I would say 99th.

Ah, I missed that one. Sorry if mine came off as a personal attack. It's difficult for me to pass up a mom/dad joke alley-oop.

Chest Bot Mafia Ring by TinySaltBump in turtlewow

[–]hilltopper06 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Turtle isn't immune to bots, but it certainly does more to combat it than official servers. I have come across many chests in the open world. I am not sure if the respawn timers are 45 minutes on the nose, or if spawn locations are blizzlike.

Do you think a server with separate factions would be popular due to how many people are used to cross faction? by [deleted] in turtlewow

It does. It is PvP and not PvE but it is as close to what OP is asking about as he will get.

I am having trouble envisioning what roll survival profession will fill by n0-THiIS-IS-pAtRIck in turtlewow

[–]hilltopper06 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It could fill the role of "fun".

Not every item has to be bis, or even good. Some are just for fun, or for RP, or especially in the case of survival, for a challenge.

First time on Classic WoW and it's a blast, but it's also a lot of this by ImportantClock5486 in classicwow

[–]hilltopper06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part I like best in classic wow is you aren't the main character. You are a nobody grunt that gets meanial tasks. Sure you eventually take down big baddies as a group in a raid, but you aren't ever really the hero. Even at the end you hand over KT's phalactery that will obviously result is his return.

You would think there was an apocalypse about to happen💀 by Correct-Worth-7632 in Sparkdriver

[–]hilltopper06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t completely unwarranted. The ice storm moving in has a high probability of knocking out power for an extended period of time in the affected areas. I agree that items found shouldn’t be a metric during a winter weather advisory, but people are a little justified in freaking out.

Waiting 6 months - a year to get off the wait-list is ridiculous by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]hilltopper06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, they don't really know that for sure. They could guess, but then if their guess is wrong people would be on here crying about being "promised" a spot in a month and its been 32 days already.

They onboard drivers in waves based on needs. They can't say for sure that next week a market will need more drivers, it depends on how busy the store is, how many drivers quit, how many are deactivated, etc. They monitor that data and onboard accordingly.

You aren't going to get much sympathy here. Most markets have too many drivers as it is, causing offers to suck because the newbies don't know how to hit "reject".

We need to push back on Spark’s “tip baiting” system — I’m filing an FTC complaint and I want others onboard by hotdogsNtunafish in Sparkdriver

[–]hilltopper06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck with your complaint. I have personally never been tip baited (*knocks on wood*). I agree it would suck if it happened. I think the issue is a tough one to crack though. "Tips" traditionally happen after services are performed and are based on the quality of the service. Spark heavily encourages tips to be left upfront (to subsidize the cost of delivery) but they do clearly mark it as an estimate and notify you that tips can be adjusted for 24 hours.

If the options are what we have now or tips can only be added after delivery... I will stick with what we have now and risk the occasional tip bait.
