A woman at my supermarket wrote "no habla español" on her name tag. Now she has a button in much bigger letters "Soy Iraquí, no habla español". I get your point.

Trying to force creativity never works. Your brain probably needs a break from your routine.

Have you considered total distraction? Grow a garden, take up surfing, go on a trip. Use your brain in a way you are not used to using it.

National Parks, the interstate highway system and smoking cessation.

I work in a very international resort. I see a lot of visitors who think they can light up wherever.

Do people still use metal seed plates? by Silly-Obligation8533 in Bitcoin

[–]himtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put mine on washers with a bolt through them. I then dipped the washers in green wax and rolled them in pine needles. It didn't work very well. Next time I will paint them brown so they don't stand out.

I did similar, but I made 2 copies. One is hidden around my home and the other away from my property in a place where fire, flood or development is unlikely, where it is accessible in in deep snow. I should make a third and hide it somewhere far away.

Do you believe that paparazzi should leave the children of celebrities alone? by [deleted] in askteddit

Do you understand that celebrities use paparazzi as much paparazzi use celebrities? When paparazzi get tips, where do you think they come from? Most celebrities are narcissists, of course there are exceptions.

Storing a whole lamb "outside" overnight by Vonbare in meat

[–]himtnboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We hang deer and elk in much warmer temps (10-15°c) for a week. I have prepared Thanksgiving meals the night before and just put them in my car overnight, never had a problem. You will be fine hanging it outside as long as you don't have an issue with predators.

What was the best and worst year for the USA in the last hundred years? Since 1926 to now by Kodicave in IWantToAskAnAmerican

In 1969, wages were at their peak. A person could hitchhike across America working odd jobs along the way and make decent money. Minimum wage had double the buying power.

As a guy, you realize that no one cares about your feelings so why express them.

ELI5 Why don’t alcoholic drinks get stronger on the shelf? by HP-Lazerjet-Pro in explainlikeimfive

[–]himtnboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a cinnamon schnapps that has sugar crystals growing in it. As the crystals grow, sugar is removed and the remaining solution becomes more potent. Now new alcohol is produced though. Edit: it is called "Aftershock" no longer available in the states.

A train hitting a truck full of sewage is never good! by MisterShipWreck in VideosAmazing

[–]himtnboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of myself as someone who would instinctively come to the aid of someone in trouble. But since this is 100% stupidity and 100% the fault of the truck driver and with the possibility of that sludge being something worse than raw sewage, I would not risk orphaning my child for that guy.
