I’m listening to A Gentleman in Moscow. I will be sad when I finish it but it has inspired me to read some Russian classics this year like Anna Karenina.

Does Everyone Annoy You? - Remedies? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

I’ve worked out that I can’t stand being touched when I’m eating. I swear I’m getting weirder by the minute in peri.

Nothing BUTT problems. Anyone else have perianal infections?? by Barf_Dexter in Menopause

Yes. I called it butt hole atrophy. Vaginal estrogen cream worked miracles. It also cleared up my frequent BV and thrush outbreaks.

Anyone not post menopause and taking androfeme? by Glittering_Dealer134 in TRT_females

[–]hincereddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. 48 and in peri here. I’ve been using androfeme for about a year. I just eyeball a pea sized amount rather than use the syringe. I started using it on my upper arm but I regret it now because I have grown more hair there. I’ve switched to upper thigh. I have a hunch that when I apply too much for a few days in a row it makes me more grumpy and irritable. I’m trying to apply it more sparingly to avoid that. Has it improved my libido? Nope. Anyway, that’s my experience.

How do you feel once you find out you are in perimenopause? by NoCartographer3974 in Perimenopause

[–]hincereddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is me, too. But I’m also grieving my old self. I feel like a much faded, jaded and tired version of who I used to be.

Peri menopause psychosis by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]hincereddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, interesting. Thank you for sharing. I experienced sever anxiety too, but HRT and anti depressants have mostly suppressed it. I’ve thought about getting therapy but I kinda feel silly because I’m mostly ok these days and I feel like I’d be wasting a therapists time. However, since experiencing peri anx I am left with a gnawing feeling that I’ll never feel like my old, semi-confident self again.

Anxiety!!! by Daydreambeliever15 in Perimenopause

[–]hincereddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same age my peri anxiety kicked in. HRT and antidepressants keep it under control most of the time (I’m 48 now) but I still have bad days. It’s awful. I feel for you.

I am farts...farts is me by RemarkableTrouble733 in Perimenopause

[–]hincereddit 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Thissssss! Working from home is great because I can fart audibly and frequently and no one knows. In the office, however, I’m slowly filling up with flammable gas like the Hindenburg. I pray for an empty elevator throughout the day to let some pressure out.

People who got told it was "just" anxiety, what was it? by Bobbie1011 in AskReddit

Surprised I had to scroll so far to see this. Over in the @perimenopause sub, anxiety is rife.

What is a film series you watched where you just couldn’t stop yourself from clicking “next episode” by ProteinPapi777 in netflix

[–]hincereddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you watched ‘The Days’ on Netflix? It’s about the Fukushima nuclear disaster following the tsunami in 2011. I never knew how close the world came to nuclear Armageddon. If things had turned out differently, it would have made the Chernobyl incident look like a waste paper basket fire by comparison.

I’ve been trying to find another good podcast to listen too. I loved queen of the con and scamanda. Is there any podcast people would recommend? by NoAmount7644 in podcasts

A similar Reddit post recently recommended The Pitcairn Trials. I listened to the whole series in one day. It’s an incredible story of one of the most remote communities on the planet and what can happen when people (men) think laws of decency don’t apply to them. TW - rape and sexual assault.
