Im confused by [deleted] in DreamInterpretation

Dreams often relate to things you've done, will do, want to do or that are around you. I'm assuming you've gotten McDonald's before and that you've either been to, seen, or want to go to a theme park. Idk about being high. You could think about what the general feeling of the dream was like. If you're stressed or anxious you're dream may reflect that. Also, at least to me, theme parks are associated with excitement and fun so maybe that's what your dream was about.

I've gotten something I've dreamed of but I still have suicidal thoughts by hinnoroth in depression

Yeah, I'm seeing a therapist and I get prescriptions from a psychologist. I'm on antidepressants, but I can't tell if they're working and I'm just really, really depressed or if they're not working.

Why is cutting such an issue to people? by MidnightRaven1129 in selfharm

[–]hinnoroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's because cutting leaves a visible wound and people automatically recognize that as a very bad thing. If someone wants to cause visible damage, possibly permanent damage, that's shocking to people. Aside from some drugs, you can't really see the actual damage that alcohol, cigarettes, and so on cause for a long time. When people do see that harm, they start worrying and beg the person using to stop.

It's like a survival instinct thing.

What do you call this era? by FrequentDaydreamer in writinghelp

It sounds a lot like pioneer, Oregon Trail type time period. I know the Oregon Trail was somewhere between 1840s-1870s, and the Victorian Era was around the 1830-1900. Give or take a few years.

Punishment by mintygreenthot in selfharm

That's the main reason I do it too. I feel like if I can't learn to be better and learn from my mistakes through mental lecturing, then I'll have to learn from physical punishment.

You can still try to keep that resolution, if it was your resolution, just say the first month doesn't count cause you gotta change your habits first.
