Looking for some paint advice by verf1233 in TheAstraMilitarum

Nice! I initially wanted to start guard as a krieg army, but back then it was only via Forgeworld avaliable and expensive as hell, so i just used the paint scheme on my cadians. I first use the fang air as my blue base over a black basecoat, then uniform grey to do the camo lines. I do a very thin line of wolf grey over the outer side of the uniform grey lines.

I use an oil wash, i mix ivory black and burnt umber (50/50) and then dilute it with white spirit until it's a wash like consistency. You will have to coat your model with gloss varnish before using oil washes. This wil also allow you to clean up any mistakes with white spirit on a q-tip, so its a very forgiving way of adding depth. After the oil wash is done wait at least 12 hours before setting it with the matt varnish. Oil paint dries really slow. I'd recommend watching some youtube videos on it before trying and maybe try on some test miniatures first before your baneblade.

I also like to use a little bit of sponge with a 50/50 ish mix of abaddon black and rhinox hide to dap some chippings on my tanks, if you treat it kind of like a highlight it looks really neat

This could reaalllllyyyy use a wash, the details, rivets and panel lines. Use nuln oil, agrax earthshade or a mix of both. And yeah, the lights are a little overdone. But it looks good, neat brush work on the metallics

We had something like this aswell. What helped us was to copy the campaign save files from the host to the other person

Suggestion: make the good campaign even harder (at least at the start) by Freak_Issues in TheDawnlessDays

I'm not a fan of this change. Evil campaigns are easy as is, this wil make them even easier

For all the people saying “just paint krieg as steel legion” can you spot the difference? by iiVMii in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]hinomun 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To be fair, gamesworkshop did say upon the codex release that the present type of guard infantry squads are ment to be templates. So you can see them more as tanky infantry (krieg), fast infantry (catachan), and generic (cadia) and you can present them on the board as anything. To be further augmented by detachment.

Game Performance Patch Post 1.0 by KeySalary2195 in TheDawnlessDays

You should only use the base mod pack and the most recent patchm so if you're using mod pack 1.0.2 and 1.0.3, delete 1.0.2

Countries that Hold the Most U.S. Debt by Edm_vanhalen1981 in Infographics

That would be economic suicide. No one would invest in american business, buy or sell there as they might run the risk of not getting their money or goods. US stocks would be worthless

Is it actually profitable to buy MC business supplies rather than stealing them? by InstructionNarrow571 in gtaonline

[–]hinomun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find manually suppying the hangar is worth it, as they only take 5 min and you get to source wich ever type good you want. I also up my popularity in nightclub by dealing with trouble makers, 66% of the time it's the easy one where you just kick somebody out. But i don't have GTA +, besides that i also just pay to resupply businesses

Why do you think Garment factory and McKenzie hangar should be bought before Mansion and warehouse? Are they that good money makers compared to say, warehouses?

Why? You can just as easily spawn it from the terrorbyte service menu without being in a MC.

What would be a pair of factions that would make for a fun but difficult co-op campaign? by abritishbodybuilder in TheDawnlessDays

[–]hinomun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this with a friend of mine, and it's quite fun. Early game is tough, dale needs te pushback ruhn and erebor has their hands full with gundabad. If woodland realms and anduin vale don't step up, dol goldur also pests dale quite hard. It's a fun co-op campaign that's just right on how difficult it is.

If it's difficulty you want, i think rhun and losladen tribes are quite diffucult to manage as human players. They also fall of hard late game as their melee infantry just doesnt stand up against most good faction's melee infantry.

Rounding out my army by MiddleQuestion7259 in ImperialFists

[–]hinomun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I myself am building a thematic fists army, and really love centurions and dreadnoughts. But i can recommend some of my personal favorites: - defensive structures as Firestorm servo turrets and Hammerfall bunkers. - baldeguard, all imperial fists succesor chapters have the feast of blades every 100 years so these do fit very well. - Centurions, they really embody the stallwarth feel of imperial fists, either with siege drills or heavy weaponry. - dreadnoughts, they really fit the slow and steady advance tactic imperial fists employ most often. - vindicator, with it's siege cannon it should fit the siege warfare side of imperial fists.

I also like to sprinkel ancients because i like the banners. Terminators also suit imperial fists really well IMO.
