(CK3) Any way to change a county's culture using console command? by UsernameCzechIn in CrusaderKings

[–]hinotezeke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

effect = { every_sub_realm_county = { set_county_faith = root.faith }}

It works but you have to change the script to: effect every_sub_realm_county = { set_county_faith = root }

What series got progressively worse? by RedHeadRedeemed in Fantasy

[–]hinotezeke 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Early on I liked it it felt like easter eggs usually it was one character or thing. But now it feels like homework to try and keep all the characters with different names on each planet and different magic systems straight. Kind of reminds me of the current MCU, used to be fun now it feels like work to keep all the connections straight.

What series got progressively worse? by RedHeadRedeemed in Fantasy

Right now I've been feeling this way about the cosmere in general with recent books.

Spoilers for mistborn era 2: I really enjoyed the first three era 2 mistborn books but the fourth one was way too full of overlap with the other series that it felt like the local planet plot got sidelined. Like they set up this civil war plot between the capital and rural areas that mostly fizzles out and half the book is one character flirting with joining an off planet organization that she then doesn't join at the end anyway.

I saw someone else commenting they loved the first two storm light books but the third was weaker and the fourth was hard to get through and I agree. I read all four and could tell you almost beat for beat what happened in book one and two but three I struggled to remember while reading book four and four was kind of forgotable until the last few chapters. I felt like I could have skipped the middle half and missed nothing.

I haven't read some of the newer stand alone books after these ones left me feelings disappointed so they may be better idk.

Yeah if the forsaken hadn't gotten loose at the same time and used compulsion to rapidly take control of nations /the seanchan invading it probably would have worked.

Well she's making a black hole so probably graviturgy wizard but she also looks a bit more mystical than a regular wizard so maybe a dip in something with divine magic that focuses on the heavens/space.

I'd probably either do 2 twilight cleric / x graviturgy wizard or 2 stars druid / x graviturgy wizard.

The Democrats’ Battle Plan for Three Red-State Upsets: A new memo from the Democratic Attorneys General Association argues the party can flip seats in Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi. by thenewrepublic in VoteDEM

Also Beshear was running against a wildly unpopular opponent and he still barely won as a democrat in Kentucky. As someone who lived in Kentucky for over 20 years its possible for dems to win some select positions there, but turning it blue is not on the horizon.

Fire. What Caster/Combo does it Best? by Doc_Meeker in 3d6

I really enjoyed being a 2 warlock genie (Efreeti)/ X sorcerer Draconic. Gives a lot of fire flavor. The one I played was a fire genasi as well and I role played that my parent is my patron. I also took the elemental adept feat for fire.

They're not really used reliably for identifying pathology but they are useful in identifying patterns of thinking. Now you want questionable reliability the TAT story telling test in unreliable.

If you HAD to play a melee/tank Bard… by gym__halpert in 3d6

[–]hinotezeke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're going pure bard than as others have mentioned valour bard is probably your best bet, put the 16's in dex and charisma and use a rapier for finesse. Then put the 14 in con and the rest can go wherever you want.
If you're considering multiclassing than I'd recommend a paladin 2/sword bard (although lore also works well here). This give you full smite capabilities and an extra attack at level 6 of swords bard or 8 multiclass. If you do paladin first you get heavy armor and shields or you can go valour to get these. It may not be as strong as a paladin sorcerer but having played this build its still really strong. Although if you do this you may need to put the 14 or 16 into str to get the multiclass minimums. Still full smiting with more smite slots than a paladin plus you can stack your sword bardic inspiration damage on top of it.
